It does help show that episode 1 of a season, which closes the previous seasons finale, takes place in May, but episode 2 of the season takes place in June, episode 3 takes place in July and so on until it catches up with "real time" and then each episode takes place the week it's aired, but then SyFy throws in a 6 month gap between the mid-season two parter. Now part 2 starts right after part 1 and and then the whole thing is screwed up again because now there is another 6 month gap between episode time and "real time" which the PTB's can't fix because the following episodes are already done.
