In Darkness we see Spencer quaffing on some pills. Any speculation as to what it is that he's taking?

It's some form of acetaminophen + codeine (Vicodin, Oxycontin, or something from that family). Someone took a screen shot of the med container and posted it here, but the thread got merged with another thread.

insulin is used for diabetes. and if spencer was a diabetic he'd likely not be in the military, and if he was allowed to stay in, he'd be grounded and tied to a desk
given info we learned in Life, it's likely that it's some sort of antidepressant, possibly used to treat the mental issues rising from what he told TJ

Considering that diabetics are not allowed in the army, we have the hipotesis of the drug to be antidepressive, anphetamins or vitamins
And he takes the last pill at the episode LIFE.
If it is an antidepressive drug, unless that he has any blister in his backpack, he will begin to experience side effects, due of the abstinence.
Usually antidepressive drugs must be removed little by little, not all at once.
I dare to make the hypothesis that the director created the character Spencer that is a depressive person, a kind of desease that is enough seen in our days. He also created the homosexual character Camile, other character found nowadays. I think that the depressive person experience more prejudice than the others.
While the homossexual is a choice, the mental problem is a desease, and the individual many times depends on other people to get free of it.Last edited by Carlos-Curitiba; 22 November 2009, 05:37 PM.Stargate fan - city of Curitiba-Brazil

Could be anti-depressants. Getting angry is a sign of depression. Cold turkey on those is NOT good.

Anger is not necessarily a symptom of depression. Considering that he's a soldier then perhaps he could be suffering some form of PTSD, although that said IF that were the case then he would more likely than not be treated by the medical personel at Icarus and therefore TJ would be aware of his condition. FWIW I see the Spencer situation developing a lot this series...Spoiler:Perhaps his longing to get off the Destiny coupled with his widthdrawal from the drugs he has been taking could lead him to sabotage the FTL drive in epsidoe 16?
