Pod Lift Off At The End

At the End of Air Part 3, there was a pod with a shield that lifted off on the left side of the ship and flew away. Did they say what it was and I missed it?

Does anyone know if it was a communication beacon or some type of marker that the ship leaves behind? It kind of looked like it had a door or window to go along with the red thruster. If so, how do you think they will work it into the story later on?

its some sort of scout ship. The shield configuration (i think it had shields..) didn't look Ancient and the design doesn't fit with Destiny's either. It looks a LOT newer (compared to Destiny)

I could see on the Destiny that there were no clamps or ports that attached it. If it was from the Destiny, it should have had a door open then let it out. The energy coming out was red and the ship is blue, so it may not be Ancient. I kept thinking Ba'al had a clone land and infiltrate the ship...LOL!

I wonder how many viewers saw this and had ideas as to what it is.

I also wonder how many viewers do not even remember this.

I asked one and he said he did not know what I was talking about.

Makes you wonder what else they slipped in there that we may not have thought was as important, but will come back later or never.

I'm not sure, I mean look at the Shuttles onboard, they look like camper vans with wings I still don't get why there are no puddle jumpers, I understand that they were newer but still, I mean what about the space gates that are out there, gunna walk through in space suits and swim!?
