An adventurous crew

So whilst searching the desert planet, some of the team gave up, and decided to try another planet in range. However, the other planets in range were 'locked out' by the Destiny. Dr Rush made it clear that anybody who gates onto another planet, other than the one their on, will die. How did Rush know that, and what happened to the people that went through the gate?

they did not respond to Eli's radio communications when they he dialed for them. They are either dead or stranded.

We know for a fact they come across a human-looking skeleton on a planet with waterfalls and a jungle setting, so we might assume they end up going to the planet where those 2 buffoons met their death. We only see one skull, so one of them might have survived to rejoin the crew near the end of the season. That would be badass.

the skeleton they found WAS one of the crew but not curtis or palmer. i think it was either rush, eli or scott...its a time travel episode.
