NBC Finds A New Hero In The Cape?

Today’s new TV pilot orders include a “light drama with a comic book sensibility” titled The Cape.

NBC has put in a pilot order for the project from Empire creator Tom Wheeler. It involves a former cop framed for a crime who becomes “The Cape,” a masked hero, to clear his name and reunite with his son. Lloyd Braun and Gail Berman also executive produce.

With a new almost-superhero project coming from the network, could the end of Heroes be imminent?

Yes! I sure hope people rally together to give the two remaining episodes high ratings. Networks are just evil.

              That, and relatively stupid.

I know a friend that has given up on it because, roughly in his words, 'how come we never get to see these heroes being heroes? i'm bored with all this infighting'

IMHO, i think if they did it something like quantum leap, the heroes helping others, or being mean and having to be stopped, and run that arc with the overall arc of the world 'are they good? are they bad?

there's just, for me, too much drama, too many stories. I get tired of the near soap aspect of it. i also get tired of Hiro and having to read subtitles all the time

it's still a way to kill an hour - largely because there's nothing else on - but if there was a good competitor, this woudl be taped so i could fast forward.

                the story's gotten old

Heroes is also the #1 most pirated tv show. So much so that the number of downloads through torrent's have actually exceeded the average viewership on tv. This isn't a good thing, because it actually hurts the show, but it does show how popular the show still is. One more episode left this season, lets hope its not the last episode of the series.

Amen to that. I really want at least one more season. Come on NBC.

                            Thirded.
                            Mia: Don't you hate that?
                            Vincent: Hate what?
Mia: Uncomfortable silences. Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh*t in order to be comfortable?
                            Vincent: I don't know. That's a good question.
Mia: That's when you know you've found somebody really special: you can just shut the f*** up for a minute and comfortably share silence.

And hope the ratings of the final episode are good enough to allow the right decision....although I hope NBC doesn't just base it off of ratings.....with the high DVD sales people are definitely not watching it on NBC as it airs.
