I tell you, I squealed with utter delight when I saw that 'pod'/craft leave the Destiny at the end of that episode. Just for the simple reason they were leaving us with a mystery to chew over. SG-1 and Atlantis were two fine, fine shows, make no mistake, but they did have a tendency to make sure you were never left in any doubts about anything plot-wise. Were that scene in one of those two shows, the writers would have hit us over the head with the answer to what that craft was. So even those taking not that much notice would have known what it was. Heck, even the cat snoozing on the sofa, with its back to the TV, would have known.

Finally we're being treated with a bit more respect by the writers. I love little mysteries like this. I'd also like future episodes to end allegorically...leaving us all to have our own take on them. In this respect, Stargate has grown up...a lot. And to think some fans were grimly predicting Stargate 90210...they couldn't have been more wrong.
