      You know what, I was wondering the same thing, I had hoped, they would follow up on the giant aliens but I don't think they ever did, unless I missed it, they only had very few references to the Mayans it was mostly ancient Egypt, and the ancients, but for some reason they forgot about the Mayans, as if they were not interesting enough, when the truth is that they are, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, I like the way that sounds!

        Well one reason could be that the actor who played him is dead.

        However he died this year, so I have no idea why the writers didn't revivist the storyline while SG1 was still on.
