Star Trek ABC Game WITH Descriptions

    Hey all!

Wanted to start another game here in the Star Trek section here at GW. Basically if you know the A-Z and Star Trek great here.

    For example:

Once Z is reached, the cycle starts with A again. There are no limits here on what you can use for examples from the Star Trek Universe. Actors, story titles, alien races, writers, directors, objects, planets, space stations... the list goes on and on. Everything goes!

Please write descriptions next to your example for this game, there is another game for just words or names if this is too much effort.

    For example:

The purpose here is to put descriptions next your examples. The main thing here is to have fun but I also think this game can also serve as an educational experience for those of you just starting to learn about this awesome series.

With all of the movies and series involved in Star Trek this shouldn't be too hard.

However, In case anyone does get stuck, then I recommend some links which might help:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Star_Trek_races

    http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Star_Trek_Encyclopedia

Maybe it would be a good idea to add those links to your Favorites / Bookmarks? It'd maybe save you referring back to this opening post?

The main thing here is to have fun and maybe learn a thing or two about the Star Trek. I hope you'll all join in. The game begins with the post that follows directly below.

    Have fun everyone!

    - Matt

A - Andorians are a humanoid species from the moon Andoria, homeworld of the Andorian Empire, and one of the founding members of the United Federation of Planets.

Most Andorians were blue-skinned with white or silver hair. An Andorian subspecies called the Aenar had white skin and, unlike blue Andorians, were blind and telepathic.

Changeling= A nonhumanonid shapeshifting species that originates from the Gamma Quadrant. Due to persecution the Changelings have become extremely xenophobic. To explore the Changelings sent 100 infants to explore the galaxy. Constable Odo is one of two Changelings to ever be found.

The Changelings also are the leaders of powerful Dominion that threatened the peace of the Alpha Quadrant

The remaining six bore some version of NCC-1701 during their missions. The Constitution class NCC-1701 and 1701-A were commanded by James T. Kirk, the Excelsior class NCC-1701-B was commanded by Jonathan Harriman, the Ambassador Class NCC-1701-C was commanded by Rachel Garret, and the Galaxy and Sovereign class NCC-1701-D and NCC-1701-E were commanded by Jean-Luc Picard.

H - Hierarchy Physically the species is humanoid with dull brown skin, and few distinguishing features - hairless, and with few noticeable facial features, it is almost impossible for other species to distinguish between individuals of this race.

They use surveillance on passing ships for future raids. This is done by special surveillance ships, hiding in Nebulae for example, who use sensors to assess the tactical risk of attacking passing vessels and the available loot. They use cloaked ships to sneak up on vessels.

I - Imutta was a vedek serving in the Bajoran temple on Deep Space 9's Promenade in 2372.

When Akorem Laan briefly took on the role of Emissary, and advocated the return of the D'jarra system, Imutta was killed by Vedek Porta after refusing to leave the order. His family Imutta's D'jarra was to prepare the dead for burial, which Porta considered unclean and unsuited for work as a vedek. Imutta was pushed from the second level of the Promenade, breaking his neck and dying almost instantly.

An androgynous race who considered gender identities to be an aberration. Some people who were born with either a male or female identity were forced to live as outcasts until they underwent psychotectic therapy to realign their gender identity as androgynous.

L-Lore The "brother" of Data and B-4, Lore was a second generation model of android built on the Omicron Theta colony. Unlike Data, Lore was capable of emotional expression and the use of contractions. However, he scared the inhabitants of Omicron Theta who asked that Dr. Soong shut him down. Angered, Lore decided to contact the Crystalline Entity which attacked and destroyed the colony, leaving only the two androids and a handful of survivors. While Data was discovered and re-activated Lore remained in storage until the USS Enterprise-D arrived at the colony. When there, Data, intrigued by his past re-activated his brother, who claimed he was "more perfect" than Data. Lore immediately reverted to his old ways, attempting to hijack the Enterprise and feed it to the Crystalline Entity. After being foiled he spent some time drifting in space until he was rescued by a Pakled freighter. Eventually he responded to Dr. Soong's homing signal, intended for Data. During the family reunion he murdered Dr. Soong and stole the emotions chip intended for his brother. Eventually he discovered a group of rogue, independent, Borg drones and promised he would work to make them completely mechanical. He, with the aid of Data who was being "drugged" by the emotions chip, trapped the Enterprise and kidnapped and tortured several of the command staff until Data was reset and was able to stop Lore. Data considered him too much of a threat and dismantled and left his brother adrift in space.

M - Mora Pol was the Bajoran scientist who was assigned to study the Changeling who became known as Odo after he was discovered.

Mora studied and taught Odo at the Bajoran Center for Science during the Occupation of Bajor from 2358-65. When Odo assumed the shape of a humanoid, he imitated Dr. Mora's hairstyle.

Odo was labeled as an "Unknown Sample", which a Cardassian overseer translated as "Odo'ital" in Cardassian.

However, Odo resented Mora as he failed to realize that Odo was sentient. Under pressure from the Cardassians to get answers, some of Mora's methods of experimenting were questionable. Odo left the institute two years later.

When Odo was to be shown to the Cardassian High Command, Dr. Mora persuaded him to practice and perform the "Cardassian neck trick". Mora made him practice it for weeks.

Mora and Odo did not reconcile their differences until 2373, when Mora arrived on Deep Space 9 to assist Odo in treating and educating an infant Changeling. Odo planned to visit Dr. Mora later that year, but decided not to after a large increase in crime on Deep Space 9.
