Oddly enough there are plans to build a real life township similar to Eureka by the University of Queensland in Australia in Brisbaine's western fringe.

Unlike other "brain cities" which are more like heavily enclosed compounds, the new township will be built in a green area with room (280ha) for about 10,000 people. The town will include housing, shopping centers, commercial towers, parks, schools, and a community library. The ambitious prject could take up to 15 years to complete.
