Yeh maybe, but still i'd like to see it. i think it would be rather daring and dark to go for a female character, maybe Chloe!

The lovely double-standard would kick in around that time, and people would be screaming about sexism of TPTB. It'd be even worse when it turns out a rescue mission had to be mounted, and a male ended up saving her.

Small update:

The final half-dozen scripts are in play and we’ve been busy writing, revising, reading, and critiquing. Once again, Carl wrote an incredibly tight script. Looks like Pain will require minimal changes.

On a sidenote: call it male intuition, but the possibility of this episode directly following "Sabotage" (assuming JM's script remains a 2-parter), and it's called Pain...anyone thinks Wray's ordeal will be dealt with more in this episode?

It'd fit.

Yes it'd fit. Not to mention, it would speak even more to the serialized, continuous nature of SGU which is something I'm very much looking forward to.
