You Decide: Catty Corner VS. Kitty Corner

Which is the proper terminology when describing something in a diagonal position to something else?

    Catty corner

    or

    kitty corner

I'm not interested in what the dictionary has to say, or old english grammar derivative works or anything like that.

I want to know which one YOU SAY.

    Gateworld, you decide.

PS: someone make a poll out of this seeing as how i apparently cannot.

I've never heard "kitty corner", always "catty", or rather "caddy".

At first, I thought of a bunch of catty people sitting in a corner talking to each other.

            kitty corner is winning? Seriously?

Never, ever heard it said that way. It's caddy corner, but "catty" corner is close enough to caddy corner if you say it with some kind of accent or drawl.
            IMO always implied.

and for the record - it's clearly kitty corner.

The Wiktionary says that the origins for both are US-Canadian.

It has been requested that a 3rd option of *Neither* be put in BUT that does need to come from the Thread creator. or at least have his agreement since it is his topic

                        Thanks

yeah that's fine, but I'd stipulate the option reads: "I've heard neither, but Morbo is right."
