Interesting enough the Trust control by Goa'uld is probably the only Goa'uld power base left in the milkyway.

The Goa'uld are egomaniac and accustom to a lifestyle of luxury .And being rich on Earth is probably closest thing to system Lord .

With the current Gobal financial crisis.

Take advantage of the weak economies and buying up banks ,realties and earth curriencies.

Boost economic production by sending more slaves to mine naquadah, anyone who doesn't obey gets shipped off to some ice planet for even harder labor or is just plain executed on the spot. Start rebuilding, ships, towns, prisons etc put the alien worlds back to work and open up more Goaul'd wallmarts so the people can get by from buying cheaper stuff.
