Name: Earth Ship Legacy (aka "Thor")
Origin: Human made O'Neil Asgard class ship resized to a length of max. 350 meters (something like 30% more than BC-304 which is about 270?)
Crew: up to 50 people, 1 can control the whole ship
Weapons: Beam Weapons + railguns + canons located on Battlestar Pegasus (from Battlestar Galactica TV Series) + nukes (simultaneous multiple nuke transport) + human made drones or missiles
Armor/Shields: Outer hull of a ship made from a nanite-cells (auto-regeneration), inside hull from strongest material Asgard/ancient/human possible + Asgard shields located on BC-304 / O'Neil for backup in case that outer hull would fail or if you face unknown ship / enemy.
Engines: latest Asgard technology (same options, but of course resized) + sub light engines capable of 99.99% speed of light.
Power: 4 enhanced NIG generators, resized to fit this ship
    Other:
    - 2 hangar areas for F-302's or some other smaller ships, same size than hangars located on BC-304.
    - on board stargate able to contact gates in other galaxies
    - multipurpose rooms for research, visitors, etc.
    - small prison (2 cells) + interrogation room
    - other useful stuff

So is your ship named "Legacy or Thor"? Only reason is that I have a ship named legacy that I have been writing a short story for and I don't want to encrouch on your creative property. Also good job using restraint with your ship.... alot of people have been talking about earth using the oneill class ship design and i like that you downsized it and made it more obtaineable.

some people seem to think that what happened at the end of SG 1 gave earth unlimited potential the next day when infact there will be a big lag time between that episode and a lot of these ship designs.

I'd like to see some drawings of you design also, or a rendering.

well this ship in reality doesn't have any name. I used Legacy because I was out of ideas for naming ship, but I got the idea that ship would have modified Asgard Core with Thor's hologram which would help commander of the ship all the time. So that's why I named it "aka Thor".

Otherwise design of the ship will be very simple. imagine BC-304, give it some smooth lines, extend the hanger bays in to a wings and add some sensors "towers/extra wings" on the wings, extend the ship for what 80 meters in length and that's it. The only new part is the start of the ship where you have to resize the start of Battlestar Pegasus to fit this ship design. and you have the whole ship.

I don't do designs for now, but maybe some day .

actually that would be bad because that close to the speed of light you would have to take relativity into account and when you go that fast you would be out of contact with the outside world and time would go slower on the inside and go way faster on the outside, which basically means that if you had stasis chambers and like 24 years, you would be able to go from MW to pegasus but since sublites dont ever need to go that fast and it would be bad if it did, they shouldnt even be capable of doing so just in case.

how bout this, 2 mass accelerater cannons running the length of the ship, with asgard/ori hybrid sheilds and 18" thick titanium armor, 1 main ori pulse cannon and railuns. 77 millimeter chainuns for point defense and nukes just for some extra fire power asgard uber beams and beam transport along with rings.

asgard sublights and hyberdrive with ancient/asgard sensors.

im mainly concerned with the ancient and ori tech. That is out of our reach. As far as I know the rest is possible, and an 18" solid titanium hull ain't that strong (compared to trinium and naquadah alloys).

The USAF could very well have studied the Tria, but of course, they just left it out there.

619m long vessel, with fo'cs'le similar to the ships from starship troopers. averages 150m wide along whole length of main hull. Bridge mid way top.
2m double barrel rail-cannons (slow RoF, maybe three shots a minute best. no where near as powerful as HALO MACs). Carrier section top/middle stern. 20 fighters, 8 bombers, 10 transports.
main sublights part of main hull.
Jump Engines two drive pods parrallel to main hull.(like the carrier section of Galactica, but thinner and engines, obviously).
Smaller ordnance, 102mm railguns, fast RoF.

Pros - Tough, can take a beating. Heavily armed fore, aft port and starbord aswell as dorsal. Resonably quick. Energy shields are efficient, (but not ridiculous). Reasonably easy to make. Can take as much as it dished out, and that's alot. Anyone who get's infront/abeam will pay dearly.

Cons - power for shields in ship, but emmiters are located externally, near fo'cs'le. Big guns big recoil, lot's of magazine space needed.
Ventral armament lower than other areas.
Bridge easy target. Jump engines vulnerable to being shot off.

    Ship name: Sword of Change

Description: 20 cubic kilometers of nanite replicators(The Asuran ones and not the blocky ones) that can change into any form, shape or size and can make and/or imitate any known and unknown tech in SG verse and ARW immunized (and if somehow they do work again and could disable the reps it would only work when the ship is changing shape because I say its so).

Controlled by an A.I which is better programed then any other replicator making it technically impossible to disobey the maker.

    Power source: Main:Working Arcturus project;
    Artificial white hole (made from a stellar black hole);
    Secondary:24 ZPMs always connected to the ships systems + "insert number" of fully charged ZPMs in storage;
    Subspace tap.

    oh yea, that's perfectly normal....

    Hyperion

    Size:

    600m high
    1200m long
    1200m wide.

    Appearance: large octagonial ship.

    Powercore:
1x latest asgard Neutrino Ion Generator.
    8x Naquahdah Reactor.

    Engines:
    8x Inertialess Drive Node.

    FTL:
Linked Hyperdrive System (has 4 Hyperdrives, in conjunction generating the hyperspace field and allowing 4LY/s travel)

    Hangar:
    4x Hangar, each containing:

    10xF-306 (Gate-capable Hyperfighter, 1500LY range)
10x F-306 (Gate Capable Shielded fighter *hyperdrive replaced by weak rapid recharge shield)
    2x G-307 Gunship (4x ELS, 8x APPW, 8 CIWS railgun,4x Primary Railgun)

    Weapons:

    20x ELS. (50MT, 1GT and 300GT nukes)
    16x APBW
    32x APPW
    64x CIWS railgun
    2x Mass Driver

    NOTES:

the ship has a massdriver on the top and bottom. the powergeneration ensures that either:

Railguns and APPW's can be used
    or
    APBW's can be used
    or
Mass Drivers +railguns can be used.

the railguns do not require a whole lot of power, so they can always operate.

the massdriver can blow a hive to bits in one shot, but requires vast amounts of power

lots of big, massive ship ideas.

Mine however wouldn't be all that big. Maybe the size of a moder aircraft carrier. That would be plenty big. About 50 small fighter craft on board. Arms would be 50 cal machine guns and stand cannon. No lasers beams, ect.

The ship wouldn't have gravity...weightlessness makes it more interesting. It's always interesting to see astronauts floating in the space station. I would make the ship very basic, to reflect a real life experience in the ship. No beams, ect.

I would also make the ship very maneuverable, able to land and take off from other planets if need be. Landing and take off would be more like a airplane, than a rocket or magical space ship lifting off.

I would want to make a fictional ship that is so realistic that my audience would wonder, "Could it be real?"

That's the beauty of the Stargate. It's realistic enough to make you wonder, "Is the government hiding alien technology that can create a wormhole from one planet to another?"

In my ship I would want to incorporate that mystical wonder.

This is the BB310, a ship I use for my FanFic, based on the 304, but at over 800 mtrs long, it''s huge. Has rail guns and plasma cannons,

Improved Daedalus Class, BB-310 Attack Carriers: New ships built with all Asgard systems unique energy signature now effectively masked. Considerately larger than original models, carries 64 F307's (various marks, see below) and is almost twice as fast in both hyper and subspace modes. Current Ships, Columbus, Dreadnaught, [Lexington on systems trials] , Orion II, Victory, [Arizona, Colonel Chekov and Prometheus II, nearing completion] These new ships are now known as e.g. “Stargate Coalition Ship Victory”. They carry multinational, and mixed service crews, Air force, Navy, Army and Marines (as well as personnel from some of our allies such as the Free Jaffa, Tokra etc). Ships are equipped with exterior clamping stations to carry F307C’s (see below). Has double the missile capacity of earlier versions. Crew 310-380 :Air Wing 210 and up to 350 infantry, depending on mission. On a one on one basis, the 310's were built primarily to go up against Wraith or Ori ships and win. F307's 64 + 32. Up to 8 Tornado’s: see C401.
