Well, that all sounds fine, but how many times will the writers recycle the same plots that we've seen dozens of times on the other "Stargate" shows? (For more of my thoughts on that topic, look here.) Let's hope for Carlyle's sake that they work up some fresh ideas. He's a good actor and he was the best thing about the otherwise mediocre "24: Redemption" TV movie that Fox aired a few weeks back.

I felt pretty confident about this audition. It's for a lead-role in the new Stargate spin-off. I've never watched an episode of Stargate in my life, but I've heard nothing but good things. Fingers crossed.

I'm thinking they could be ok, but you'll never know until they actually act the role and of course...when we find new details of who these ppl are.

I am some what concerned about the fact his been in Canadian Idol.... I despise shows like that and most people involved in them.

I just hope his not as annoying as the contestants we get in the UK.... if he gets the part that is.
A word of advice... there are creatures that live between this dimension and the next, fiendish creatures that feast on the suffering of an entire world to satiate their eternal hunger. Support the Gateworld Cantina or suffer the fate of all who fall into the clutches of the 'Eladrith Ynneas'

I've tried reality shows and run away screaming Any show in which people get voted off usually get nasty at some point. Who need that? Anyway, you can see Sebastian Pigott talk and sing at this YouTube vid:

                http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZdZLG9gMOg

Of course, he's only just auditioning so doesn't have any role ,although I wonder if they might factor in his 'celebrity' in the hiring process...

I am the same way...however we did get David Cook from American Idol, and Daughtery (sp?). So who knows...thats why I'm giving the guy a chance, assuming he even made the cut. I mean, they picked good SG-1 ppl (even fought for Amanda Tapping) and goo SGA ppl...so why would they screw up SGU? So we'll see.

And thanks for the link prion. :-)

Also Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler came from America Idol. Three of the top woman in Music today.

And of course Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson was a contestant as well!!!

You're welcome. Still trying to find a YouTube or something with footage of his acting. Alas, THE BORDER is viewable on the PC - if you live in canada. Not for the rest of us. Darn.

His episode is online at http://www.cbc.ca/theborder/watch.html - but I believe it's for Canadians only. Maybe someone from canada can check it out.

Ah, remember, this is an audition. So far no word on if they're signed any, and I suspect they won't announce the cast until they've set all of them. Carlyle was their big coup, and the rest, not so much...

But oh lord, I hope nobody sings.
