Preview of New Heroes Webisode Series, “The Recruit”

Coming on the heels of the recent “Destiny” webisode series, NBC and Heroes are about to launch another series, this one called “The Recruit”. It’ll star Taylor Cole (CSI: Miami, Supernatural) as a U.S. Marine who, along with 50 others, are recruited by Arthur Petrelli’s Pineheart to test his powers injection serum. You might have seen previews of this testing on Marines for this week’s upcoming episode, “Our Father”. Cole’s character will be one of those Marines, though how she ends up in the clutches of Angela Petrelli ala the preview below is a mystery.

I haven’t seen any official announcements by NBC about “The Recruit”, so I’m assuming they plan to run this later on during Heroes Season 3 and not immediately, although according to Aceshowbiz, the series is planned to start running December 15, 2008, which would be the same week as the final episode of Season 3’s “Villains” volume. That episode would be 3.13’s “Duel”, which was originally called “War”, before it was changed to “Duality”.

“The Recruit” will follow a new character name Private Mills, played by Cole. When we first meet Rachel, she looks bang up, and is being confronted by Angela Petrelli. Also starring in the series will be Brian Skala as David Sullivan, Cole Williams as Ryan Hanover, and Ronald Lawrence as Carlos. Here’s your preview of “The Recruit”.

Heroes: The Recruit Webisode Part 1 (of 5) Private Mills

NBC wants to tie you over while Heroes is on Winter break, which means we get a new 5-part webisode series from fired writer Jesse Alexander. “The Recruit” stars Taylor Cole as a U.S. Marine, one of the 50 or so that were brought to Pinehearst by Nathan and Arthur Petrelli to be injected with the heroes serum in regular Heroes continuity. As we found out last night, Peter had other ideas, and the plan was scrapped, so to speak. But what happened to those Marines? Well as it turned out, Taylor Cole’s Private Mills (also the title of the first webisode) has a little secret that she may or may not have known about. Check out the first episode of “The Recruit: Private Mills”.

Heroes: The Recruit Webisode Part 2 (of 5) It Was Nothing

Hey, it’s Monday, but — wait, where is my new Heroes? Oh right, the blasted Winter break. But of course that doesn’t mean we can’t get our daily dose of Heroes stuff elsewhere. NBC’s ongoing new webisode series, “The Recruit”, has arrived with the second part (of five) called, “It Was Nothing”, where we once again follow Private Mills (Taylor Cole), who is still captured and held against her will at a Company facility. Angela Petrelli is nowhere to be found, but we’re sure she’s around the place … somewhere. Meanwhile, Private Mills flashes back to the explosion at the Pineheart facility, as soldiers start to turn against one another in the aftermath of the explosion…

Heroes: The Recruit Webisode Parts 3 and 4 (of 5) We Do What we Have to Do and Day of Reckoning

So, without further ado, here are the two episodes that you might have missed over the holidays. Part 3 is “We Do What We Have to Do”, and Part 4 is “Day of Reckoning”. The two episodes once again picks up where we last left off, with Private Mills (Taylor Cole) still in the clutches of The Company and Angela Petrelli, who still wants to know all about that serum program, and what exactly happened with Mills and the other Marine recruits at Pinehearst. Also, we get some insights into Mills’ troubled past.

Heroes: The Recruit Webisode Part 5 (of 5) The Truth Within

If you’ve been following NBC’s latest original webisode series, “The Recruit”, then you’re probably wondering what will become of Private Rachel Mills, the heroine of the series. In the latest and final episode, part 5, titled, “The Truth Within”, Mills is finally allowed to leave The Company’s facility by Angela. Finally free, Mills reveals a secret about herself. Or, as the title implies, within her, so to speak. Like the most recent webisode series, the ending of “The Recruit” offers up one of those last-second twist endings, though for some reason this one comes across as less satisfying than the previous series, “Destiny”.
