Wormhole Effect

Did anyone else get really annoyed when they started using a blue tinted version of the atlantis wormhole effect for Seasons 9 & 10 of SG-1?

The original Movie effect was so much more awesome and better looking.

Yeah but they already had footage of the old effect, it didn't cost them anything to reuse it.

Was obviously to update the show. They probably felt outdated being in the year 2000, and using 1997 CGI graphics.
But I did enjoy the original effect more, seemed more spacey. But this is probably nostalgia speaking.

Nit pick: 1994 Graphics, the effect was nicked from the original Movie.

Technically, by that logic, the whole Stargate was nicked from the movie.

When Atlantis was released they said the Gate network there was Digital as apose to our older gates which where Analogue, which makes sense in the Ancients in Pegasus made huge break throughs in science whilst there.

So its stupid that if Atlantis Gate Travel is like that for our Older gate network to change to look the same

The change bugged me for awhile. But, I ended up getting used to it.

I prefer the original CGI to be honest.

Only thing that made me not like the original CGI was the fact it started simular to the Millenium Falcon entering hyperspace
