But, as it seems that the canon shipping of McKay and Keller seriously impacts my favorite pair on Atlantis, Shep and Rodney, I was hoping to have a little discussion about it that is not considered off-topic.
There are many questions to be answered, such as:
What is the future of McShep now that McKeller is canon?
Will Rodney realize the error of his ways and return to his true love?
Will he marry Keller in the insane hope that he can be happy with the picket fence and 2.5 kids, denying his true feelings and remaining forever lost to that one true love?
Will the loss of Rodney propel John towards even more suicidal acts of heroism?
Will John fight to get Rodney back?
Will John encourage Ronon to romance Keller, in order to free Rodney from this madness?(OK, this might be slightly off topic)
Will fate repeat itself, where Keller's death to the Hoffan drug is inevitable, driving Rodney into John's arms for comfort?
Where is the fanfic for this romantic tragedy? It is epic in it's proportions, Shakespearean even...
I personally think that McKeller is as short term and fleeting as was McKatie, and John and Rodney will live happily ever after in the Pegasus Galaxy.
