Should Midway or The Siege have been mentioned?

Obviously this wasn't necessary for the expedition's being absolved of guilt by episode's end, but I believe Woolsey could have made a stronger case before he realized that he couldn't win playing by the rules. One of the sore points that the expedition couldn't seem to get around was the fact that not nearly as many people from Earth have died as the number of people in Pegasus. There really is no way to argue that casualties even come close by comparison. However, it might have generated at least a little sympathy with the judges had Woolsey mentioned that Atlantis was nearly overrun during the expedition's first year in Pegasus and that more recently the Wraith nearly established a foothold on Earth. Although this was in some ways a kangaroo court, I believe that mentioning these incidents would have helped to drive home the fact that the expedition has also experienced a great deal of hardships and that continuing to operate in Pegasus is not without huge risks.

I agree, but it wouldn't have fit in much with the purpose of the trial. It also would have taken away from the purpose of the episode - that we have caused problems and now really need to step up and take more responsibility. For too long Atlantis has sat back and watched until it felt threatened - most of what we did was either a direct reaction or a preventative action to some threat we perceived, and while sometimes taking care of those threats helped the galaxy as a whole, it can't be said we totally did it for the whole galaxy out of the kindness of our heart. It is time to do like we did back in the MW and really go after the enemies now that they are "dazed and confused, and really start to clean up the galaxy for the good of everyone, not to save/cover our own rear ends.

The problem is that they have no evidence. The Travelers are pretty much the only humans in the Pegasus that know of the technological prowess of the Atlantis expedition. The judges don't even have any reason to believe that the Atlantis expedition has access to anything bigger than puddlejumpers, let alone intergalactic battlecruisers.

The Genii are allies of the Coalition and of Atlantis, and were allies of the Athosians. Word gets around.

The Genii have never seen the Daedalus. The Athosians may know about it but it seems unlikely they would tell anyone about it.

The Athosians aren't the only ones who have been aboard an Earth vessel.

Well, those people probably aren't part of the coalition or they would have warned them not to mess with Atlantis.

Technically they had evidence, they just weren't able to utilize it in their defense. They couldn't demonstrate their technological advancement when it was doubted that they could take out Hives (something easy to do) and they couldn't even leave to get witnesses, logs, video recordings, etc. By design the whole case depended on the believability of their testimony.
