Hey everyone! Hope everyone is well. I'm just getting over bronchitis and ashma issues myself.

But I had a question for you all I thought you might be able to help me with. I'm writing an article for The Future of the Force, which I'm a staff writer for, on the Star Wars references/moments in SG and for the life of me can't remember who Sheppard said McKay reminding him of. I want to say it was C-3PO due to the constant complaing and talking, but now I'm not so sure. I know Ronan was Chewie, Teyla was Leia, and he debated if he was Luke or Han before realizing that if he was Luke what that meant for his and Teyla's relationship.

While mainly a Star Wars site, we've recently expanded and I'm hoping to write some more Stargate related articles if this one goes well, in addition to the book reviews I do.

    THIS YEAR’S THEME

As there are so few of us around the thread lately we are making the Theme similar to last year. The twelve days will be divided up as follows:

    Days 1,2 and 3 – Transport/Violet

    Days 4, 5 and 6 – Celebrations/Orange

    Days 7, 8 and 9 – Children/Multi-coloured

    Days 10, 11 and 12 – Food/Red

You can make as many or as few as you wish (or have time for ) for each three-day theme and you can interpret each theme in any way you choose.

Please make your artworks size 680 x 383px, remembering to keep them below the 100kb file size limit and put your name on them. Please send your finished pieces to me as soon as you can so that I can get the Martinmas vid underway early.

Please also let me know if you will be unable to post on the relevant days and wood like me to post them for you.

    Hey Woohoos!
I made it just in time to sign up for Secret Santa! Weeeee! *dances*
Thanks Jumble for the announcement on FB. <3 Love the advent arties!

Padme, sorry I have no idea about that reference, but I googled a little, and there's a lot of comparing Sheppard with Kirk and generally Star Trek references, this is what I found what you're looking for was in a fic. Maybe the writer took it out of the series (though it seems unlikely), I can't link it b/c it has mature content, but here's the section about star wars:

    Spoiler:
A small part of him whispered if it was so fantastic, then why had he forgotten all of it? It was then that he noticed he was being followed. He turned to face them, Flyboy, Track Star and Sheena.

"Now what? Is there some reason that you feel compelled to follow me wherever I go? Look, Han" he said to the pilot, "why don't you take young Luke and Princess Leia here and go back to the Millennium Falcon? I can manage on my own."

Inexplicably, the pilot laughed. "I guess that makes you C-3PO. A very cranky C-3PO."

Track Star snorted and turned to Sheena. "Star Wars," he said by way of explanation.

Sheena rolled her eyes. "I know, Aiden. I have only seen it three times now."

"You didn't like Star Wars?" The pilot was astonished. "That's like a classic..."

"I did not say I did not like it, only that I have seen it three times now..."

"Hey! Siskel and Ebert! Mind taking your show on the road? Shoo." McKay made a sweeping away motion with his heavily bandaged left hand, still holding the laptop protectively against his body.

For some reason, Flyboy seemed firmly in control of the situation. McKay wasn't entirely sure when he had lost control of it himself. "Do you even know where your quarters are?"

"What? Well, no. Not really. No. But I'm sure I can find them." McKay was frowning impatiently.

It's called Terra Firma by Madison on AoO, her pen name: sgamadison

Also one quote about David Hewlett comparing his character with C3PO here:https://forum.gateworld.net/archive/...p/t-51832.html

    hope this helped

Edit: Anyone else excited about Stargate:Origins?

    EDIT2: IT'S A 69 POST!!!! ... can't remember why that's important...

    edit3: OH I REMEMBERED!!! <3 <3
