Good morning, Sparkies! Happy Screw the Angst Wednesday!

The temps have been divided by half (20° C => 10° C) and will remain at the lower ends ... and so much rain... It truly is British weather.

Except I'm not in the UK so why must the weather behave like we are.

Longsleeved T-shirts are back and the winter coat is also back in use.
It's basically ridiculous.

Ugh, BRRRR! Rain is fun, but cold rain sucks. Sorry the weather isn't being more cooperative!

Today was a good day. It didn't rain... well, it did a few drops but hardly noticeable.

And one of my ex-colleagues is about to become my colleague again, and now I want to be a fly on the wall when she announces on monday that she's leaving because my former teamlead's face will be priceless. Or a hidden camera. Damn, I wish I could see his face.

My sister thinks I'll be persona non grata from then on.

Well that would depend on IF your ex-colleague/new-colleague tells them it was all your idea, and/or if she tells them where she is going to be working.

But it should lead to some soul-searching at your old firm. "Are we paying enough money/ giving enough holidays/ fostering good workplace relationships?"
And if they know she is joining you, "what has Robonext got that we don't that both of our best workers would choose to leave us to go to them?"

Maybe the story continues when she joins you & gives you all the juicy, graphic details of what happens, who has an apoplectic fit, things like that.

Today was a good day. It didn't rain... well, it did a few drops but hardly noticeable.

Oh, I'm all up to date with that... no worries. We have whatsapp groups for that and my best friend also works for my old company so no shortage on gossips. In fact, new one coming next week as they had their annual company party yesterday and apparently that sparked some interesting encounters which I will be hearing all about.

And the main reason we have all been jumping ship is the teamlead. It might not have been my main reason but it most certainly contributed.

Who Knows is right though. The company needs to have a serious look at my old team and teams connected with it because since I left, 2 more people have switched positions, with the 3rd now leaving altogether -- for less pay I might add.

The worst part is that my old teamlead who switched positions herself and thereby sealing my fate, knows that the current one is making a mess of things. He's literally at the bottom of everyone's ladder and yet, nothing is done about it.

Their loss.

Oh, I'm all up to date with that... no worries. We have whatsapp groups for that and my best friend also works for my old company so no shortage on gossips. In fact, new one coming next week as they had their annual company party yesterday and apparently that sparked some interesting encounters which I will be hearing all about.

And the main reason we have all been jumping ship is the teamlead. It might not have been my main reason but it most certainly contributed.

Who Knows is right though. The company needs to have a serious look at my old team and teams connected with it because since I left, 2 more people have switched positions, with the 3rd now leaving altogether -- for less pay I might add.

The worst part is that my old teamlead who switched positions herself and thereby sealing my fate, knows that the current one is making a mess of things. He's literally at the bottom of everyone's ladder and yet, nothing is done about it.

Their loss.

Hooo boy, that is a HOT MESS. You know it's bad when upper management is completely oblivious.

You know it's bad when upper management is completely oblivious.

You know, I can't say that they are... entirely oblivious.

But anyway, not my problem anymore and now that the third member of the OG Team Operations (also known as Special Ops) is leaving too, it's very much their problem.

Anyhow... my right wrist and shoulder are going to hurt tomorrow. Why, you ask?
Well because today I did a Gibbs-thing. Leroy Jethro Gibbs from NCIS has glass jars in his basement where he keeps all his nails and stuff. This inspired me to do something similar so I collected a whole bunch of jars from the glass junk bin, cleaned them out yesterday. Got rid of the paper around them and then attached them to the middle beam of our garden shed. There are 2 images of the result. I'll put them on Insta later.

And then we enjoyed 5 minutes of sunshine, before I took the heavy sledgehammer and swung it stonemason-style onto several sheets of flagstones. I was surprised I was able to lift the damn thing as high as I did. Me strong now!

I crushed those stones. Build the lay-out of the path on front of the house and smaller pieces are meant to go into our rock-garden patch.

It was a very productive afternoon.

Yeah, if everyone is bolting like that then there is a usually a common theme.

Rock crushing! Gotta admit, it's a great way to relieve frustration. Hope the path and garden look great, and that your arm isn't too messed up!

Surprisingly I have no muscle aches. However, my ribs hurt but I think that's from lying on the hard floor of our terrace so not from smashing rocks.
