    Ori "ascended" Warships

From what we know the ori warships where made with the knowledge they had after they ascended and they just told the priors the instruction on how to build them.

I have seen a couple of posts like who would win unascended ori against unascended ancients and some people say the ori warship is better than the ancients warship or the other way around.

I want to know how you know the ori knew how to build those warships before they ascended.

    Thank you.

Still, the mini-Arcturus proves they used AScended knoledge to at least upgrade the ships.

Aside from the possibly similar room shape, what's the proof of a mini Arcturus being used in Ori Crusaders?

Besides, has anyone managed to find where that reactor is supposed to be? Considering the size, it has to be somewhere behind the bridge, in the bow, where urine hits.

Dunno, but it would explain the uber shields.

If it was powered by Arcturus the shields would be far stronger. The shields are evidence against it being Arcturus not for it.
Robert Jastrow (self-proclaimed agnostic): "For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries."

Atlantis powered by Arcturus = infinite shields, Vorlon planet killer energy weapon (make it a dozen of them), armed with a million nova bombs.

                    Unbeatable fanwank ship.

The shields were unbeatable because they were probably Atlantis-level shields, something we know you don't need ascended knowledge for.

If they were Atlantis level and had an infinite powersource, not even the Asgard Plasma Beams or the event horizon of a supergate could penetrate them. The Atlantis level shields can stop any attack as long as the shield can draw enough energy.

Exactly. The Ancients reached such a level of tech sophistication that they could create shields that are literally impenetrable. The reason why only Atlantis had such a shield is because it is redundant to build ships with these uber shields if you can't provide massive power for them. It would make no sense to put such shields on an Aurora since it is powered by a single ZPM, and most of the power goes to fly the ship and fire drones. In the case of Atlantis, it made sense because it is powered by 3 ZPMs and all the power could be focused on the shield. If the Ancients had made Project Arcturus work, they would have defeated the Wraith as it would be feasible to equip each Aurora with an Atlantis-level shield, as there would be enough power to feed the shield to withstand the combined bombardment of several hives while at the same time fire drones and fly the ship. So we can conclude that the Ancients lost the war to the Wraith because they weren't able to produce enough energy. It all boils down to that. In other words, their power sources, although extremely formidable, were not formidable enough.

Well, pet theory there, but I always found the Asgard sudden solution way too convenient within one year, and I believe that they cheated time, by spending got awful amounts of years and clones within a time dilation bubble lab to work on the beam weapon.
It would be both be in tune with Asgard abilities, fir with the all of sudden acceleration of their genetic breakdown (though this would be limited to the scientists in that lab station) and bury the sudden plot convenient wank that those beams were.

                              1. It does not have an infinite power source. A shield with an infinite power source would never give out.

                              2. Atlantis-level shields can fail, run out of power, and be breached... we know this because we've been told so several times. In fact, we saw thw shield system fail in "Rising," remember?

                              3. Ori warships might use a buffer system, so it wouldn't be "stop any attack as long as the shield can draw enough energy."
