    Mirror Product Description

The Stargate SG-1 Replica Mirror -- harder to find than a humble Goa'uld? Not entirely.

While we labor to get more of the hit product made and into stores as soon as possible (including ours), there are still a few out there, tucked away in reseller warehouses. For example, we have it on good authority that ThinkGeek.com still has a couple dozen left in stock. So act fast before they're all gone, too!

    ARTISAN PROFILE

Star Wars Artist Comes Home to Galactica (and Stargate and Serenity)

QMx is thrilled to announce that Steve Anderson has joined our team of artisans. Steve is widely known for his work as an official Star Wars artist. His coveted limited-edition prints have been featured at Star Wars conventions in both the United States and Europe, and he was recently invited to produce a limited-edition print as a featured artist at the upcoming Star Wars celebration in Japan. Steve has created artwork for Lucasfilm Licensing for all six Star Wars movies as well as the new animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which debuts later this year. In addition to his work related to the past three Indiana Jones films, he has spent several months creating art for the upcoming new Indy movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Steve has also demonstrated his talent for book cover illustration, including several New York Times best-selling hardcover novels, movie novelizations, paperback novels and e-novellas for Random House Books. His dynamic illustrations have graced a myriad of games and puzzles for Hasbro, and he has done work for numerous other licenses, including Lord of the Rings, Disney-Pixar, Universal and Marvel.

Recently, Steve has applied his artistry to television series and movies he particularly enjoys and follows -- Battlestar Galactica, Serenity, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. You can expect to see his work on these franchises in future QMx releases in the very near future.

SG1/SGA - Merchandise - Quantum Mechanix: F-302 Tech Specs Poster:

From the QMx Insider e-mail newsletter:

The much-anticipated Serenity/Stargate con in Burbank this weekend is a major milestone for us, featuring the largest number of new products we've ever introduced on a single day, plus our biggest product launch ever: We're talking 25 x 38 inches here!

But it just doesn't seem right to leave all the loyal Insiders who couldn't be in LA completely out of the festivities. So, while nothing can beat the pure joy of spending two days surrounded by like-minded individuals on a quest to have as much fun as possible, perhaps this will soothe the sting a bit.

During the run of the November 21-23, 2008 convention, all QMx Serenity, Stargate and Black Market Beagle products will be 10 percent off when you enter this code into the coupon field on our online store: CREATION. And ordering for a few of our hottest new products will open a couple days early - just so you can get the discount on them, too.

We're extending the same discount to folks who make it to the show as well. Just tell the QMx person at the booth "I'm an Insider," and they'll take 10 percent off your total purchase price.

If you can, be sure to drop by the show and say "hi." Nothing makes us happier than meeting our customers. And you never know. We might just have a surprise or two "flying" through the booth.

    F-302 Technical Specifications Poster

This high-resolution rendering, taken directly from the CG files used to produce the visual effects on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, marks the first time such detailed images of the F-302 have been published. View this beautiful ship from the top, bottom, side and front. Pore over callouts showing all the major systems and weapons.

The F-302 Technical Specifications Poster measures 17 x 22 inches and is printed on 100-lb. satin-finish paper. It retails for the low price of just $14.95.

    F-302 Strategic Fighter Replica

The F-302 is the culmination of Stargate Command's effort to develop a strategic fighter/interceptor to challenge Goa'uld dominance of the air. Based on the successful X-302 prototype, which was reverse-engineered from the Goa'uld Death Glider, the F-302 is Earth's first true production starfighter and is our first line of defense against extraterrestrial threats.

Now you can own your own F-302 screen-accurate replica, taken directly from the Stargate SG-1 CGI files.

SG1/SGA - Merchandise: Quantum Mechanix: Replicator Chip:

      At Quantum Mechanix:

      Stargate Low-Res Replicator Chip

This is NOT a replica. It's a real prop.

The “Low-Res” Stargate Replicator Chip was made exclusively for QMx by Stargate SG-1, Atlantis and Universe’s prop shop Artifice Cinematic Fabrication. It’s not a replica. It’s the real thing, exactly as used on the show, and made by the same folks who made what you see on-screen:

"Over the years the replicator pieces have evolved from a single original chip hand- carved in jeweler's wax, based on a concept drawing created by the Art Dept. That first piece was reproduced to create the parts needed for the original replicator bug and the numerous pieces used for the aftermath of the bug’s demise. The current version of the replicator chip is digitally designed for better crossover with the CGI and was produced in a cut sheet form for larger set builds, as well as this polycarbonate 3D print version, used for practical close up camera shots." — Gordon Bellamy, Artifice Cinematic Fabrication (Designer and Manufacturer of Stargate's Screen-Used Props)

Part of a limited-edition run of just 500 chips, the "low-res" replicator chip is 3D printed and prepped in Artifice's shop. Artifice refers to this version of the chip as low-res due to the "roughness" of the printing. These are typically made in quantity for scenes that require piles of inert chips. For close-ups, much more expensive "high res" chips are typically employed.

We place each chip in a velvet bag and wrap that up in metalized tissue paper inside a white translucent box, perfect for isolating highly dangerous samples of Alien technology. Each chip comes with a numbered, "mini" certificate of authenticity inside the box. The entire ensemble includes one chip and costs just $24.95 for a real prop directly from the Stargate prop shop!

The Stargate "Low Res" Replicator Chip is part of QMx's Real Prop series of studio-made collectibles.

WARNING: QMx has made every effort to verify that these chips are inert. We are not responsible for any chips that spontaneous reactivate nor any damage done to your starship as a result. Handle with care.
