    Excellent episode.

9/10. *applauds* And the doomsday theme is becoming Rose's new theme apparently.

    Martha next week. *high fives*

Excellent loved every mintue, especially the referance to the snow. What's the theory on the end of the doctors song? regeneration or his song as the last of the time lords? maybe they actually are going to come back.

Enjoyed this week's episode. Great to see the Ooood again. I was wondering what that comment about the Doctor was all about. Sounded quite ominous. Could we be nearing the end of DT's tenure. I'm probably reading too much into it, though.

As the Ood refer to the Doctor and Donna as a singular "item" ie. DoctorDonna I think its related to

    Spoiler:
Donna leaving at the end of Season four

I love how real they look and how their eyes blink diagonally. And I loved how the Tim McInnery Ood sneezed out his brain.

haha Madeleine, it was quite a big hoch-a-loogie. I was surprised at how graphic and delectably squicky Halpern's transformation was. I love the Ood now. Such beautiful music from them.

Really fabulous episode. Had me utterly enthralled. Tim McInnery made a fabulous villain and the Ood were as fascinating as ever. Still enjoying the relationship between the Doctor and Donna and Catherine Tate once again did a sterling job. Really quite an action-packed episode with chases and explosions and gunfire.. I thought the scene of the Doctor being chased by the loading claw was great, really well executed.

Interesting that the bee thing was mentioned again - and really mentioned this time too, not just a passing reference. I take back my previous statements that the reference in PiC wasn't relevant... unless of course RTD is just toying with us with misdirection!

Loved the visuals of the ice planet too.

Most excellent. Tim McI turning into the Ood reminded me of the gas mask thing from The Empty Child. Very spooky.

Indeed, apparently the producers wanted that scene to be even more gruesome but they had to tone it down for the kids

projectile weapons are probably more reliable and cheaper to manufacture as well that company struck me as the sort to cut any corners possible

it wasnt just that they were projectile weapons they were m16's i mean those are almost outdated already, was probably cutting corners with props more than anything else

Not too sure about this episode, Catherine Tate was wonderful as usual and so was Tim McInnery (I wonder if Mr Halpen's first name is Percy) The story was so-so, just your average Evil-humans-enslaving-a-peaceful-race episode

As for the Doctor's Song ending maybe it refers to his Song of Sadness which could mean one of several things
    Spoiler:
Rose coming back, Another Timelord being found or a way to bring Gallifrey back

Very good episode. Loved it. Am really loving the relationship between the Doctor and Donna as well. She's what he really needs atm, a mate.

As with the end of his song, I hope its not a DT leaving the show. Would be a shame, but interesting to know what it is.
    Spoiler:
The music was (I think) Rose's theme because it was played in PiC when Rose is shown...

Overall good episode. More tension between the Doctor and Donna and another bee reference. Hmm.

On another note, Yay Martha next week. But with Martha back, does that mean no more just Doctor and Donna eps?

She's not back for good. Donna is still the companion for all of Season 4.

    General Season 4 casting spoilers:
    Spoiler:
Martha is back as a guest star in just a few episodes (I think 4?) including the Sontaran 2 parter and some eps near/at the end of the season.

    Spoiler:
I think theres four more episodes with just Donna and the Doctor in this season

Marthas in the next three episodes and the finale along with pretty much everyone else

    1. First time we've really seen humanity as the bad guys in New School Who. A bit wierd, you weren't sure who to root for because let's face it, red-eye Ood are psycho!

    2. Not as wierd as a human turning into an Ood though.

    3. Pair point on the projectile weapons thing - then again Halpern did seem to like doing things the old fashioned way.

    4. Getting absorbed by a giant brain is an ugly way to die.

And this was a very good ep. It'll be interesting to see why Martha's "calling you back" though!
