Does anyone know if the guys who made sg-1 had the antarctic outpost weapon as drones from the very beginning or if they had something else till they changed it?

Originally they intended on finding atlantis in antartica in lost city but they changed it to an outpost with sg1 was renewed again and ran alongside atlantis.
