That one I can't help you out with, as I never had Continuum on DVD. Got AoT on DVD when it came out because I didn't have a BD player yet (and I don't think AoT released on BD when it first came out), then got a BD player so when Continuum came out I just got it on Blu, then upgraded my AoT after the fact

Visiting friends I have seen the picture quality of Blue Ray, though personally I am content with standard DVD. To replace both the player and my tv? Doesn't make sense. A case of it it ain't broken, don't fix it.
Re the films, It doesn't add up to me either. Ark Of Truth bookends SG1 as a series with Children Of The Gods.Converting a human body into energy and sending it millions of light years through a wormhole. Bloody insanity!
Come on, how often do you get the chance to go to an alien planet?
I was a'ready on an alien planet!

AoT isn't the best BD release out there, honestly. Hardly a good gauge of the quality of the format."A society grows great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in. Good people do things for other people. That's it, the end." -- Penelope Wilton in Ricky Gervais's After Life

also your argument brings up the old, vhs is fine why do you need dvd for? walking is fine why do you need a car and so on.
HD brings the audio visual stimulation I love to get out of my media and also even upscaled dvds look like poo on a decent tv.sigpic
