Tok'ra Allegiance is a good one - in fact, you might have noticed my story references it with Malek talking to a Kallan woman. Very well written and totally in keeping with the story as I remember it. That takes skill.

I have read "Brothers in Arms". It is a very good story. I especially like the descriptions of the "ordinary" Goa'uld living their ordinary lives

I have attached three files. There are really a lot of gen stories that are good/ok or not so good, which all contains Tok'ra. I don't want to flood this thread with those, hence the attachments. There are one file called ff_net_stories.zip. It will unzip to ff_net_stories.html. Download it, unzip it and open it in a browser. You will get a list of all gen Tok'ra-stories which are not as good as those posted yesterday. Some of them are still pretty good, though. The two text files contains links/info about the same files, just split in two for space - one for ok/good, one for not so good, stories.

Happy reading! Ship stories will follow.

This is sort-of off-topic, but there were some fanfics seen from the Goa'uld POV. Some of those are interesting, and if nothing else, different. I post them here (all gen):

    Good:

I, Goa'uld. O'Neill accidently goes through the gate with a goa'uld prisoner, and soon discovers she's like no goa'uld they've ever encountered. PG-13.
    http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2724435/1/I_Gouald

Internal Torment. We all know about Tanith, the nasty Gou’ald that Teal’c had a “Jaffa Revenge Thing” issue with, however, what about the host? This little oneshot doesn’t just star the Gou’ald, take a look at Hebron's side. PG-13
    http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3196141/1/Internal_Torment

    Medium:

Where Did the Goa'uld Come From? What do snakes need genetic memory for anyhow?
    PG-13 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2890857/...auld_Come_From

Somewhere in between. An AU where Apophis ends up befriending his host during Sokar's torture. PG http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1961324/...ere_In_Between

Cold Fire. The episode 'Into the Fire' from the POV of the Goa'uld that takes O'Neill as host. PG13 *** http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1225956/1/Cold_Fire

Grey Area. Not all Goa'ulds can be categorised as System Lords or Tok'ra...but does that alter how they are treated? Contains minor Stargate: Continuum spoilers. PG-13 *** http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4609610/1/Grey_Area

Not so good or just odd:

    Trapped. Thoughts of a host and a Goa'uld. G http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1386975/1/Trapped

The Worm Song. A song from Junior's point of view. Odd. PG
    http://www.fanfiction.net/s/418345/1/The_Worm_Song

    Incomplete - all pretty OK

Triad of Lies. It was not really the Tollans that held the triad with Ska'ara and Klorel, but the Goa'uld who faked it. Klorel returns to Abydos to dig up Amounet and resurrect her. PG13 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2190462/1/Triad_of_Lies

Goa'uld Dreams. What if.....what if Junior didn't die trying to save Teal'c and Bra'tec, what if she lived? Oh, yes, Teal'c has been carrying around a female Goa'uld symbiote for the past 6 years..... PG-13 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3743825/1/Goauld_Dreams

The Host. SG-1 meets a strange girl with an even stranger secret. Who is she...and what's her story? PG-13 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3995901/1/The_Host

I really liked several of those fics! Most of the 'best' that you posted yesterday, certainly. But also some of those from today (have been reading most of the day today and yesterday - Skadi, you are bad for my studies!) I especially liked these

Sacrifice. Jolinar's thoughts just before she dies. Very short. G http://www.fanfiction.net/s/661705/1...e_Line_Of_Duty

The Diaries of A Tok'ra and more. Martouf/Lantash's logs (before and after they die) and Sam's logs. HUmour. Odd. PG13 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2119019/...Tokra_and_more

The Last Wish of a Dying Friend. Daniel becomes a temporary host to a Tok'ra. PG13 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2457102/...A_Dying_Friend

One Little Slip. A little Tok'ra sidetrip to Earth, circa 1769 or so, before Saroosh and Martouf came along. Lantash finds his repairs to be a little off. Selmak finds herself to be a little ticked. PG-13 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2916278/1/One_Little_Slip

An Unexpected Distraction. Aldwin and the SG1 Team get out of a sticky situation in a new and creative way. PG-13 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3167052/...ed_Distraction

Accidents do Happen. How much can one symbiote in human guise mess up the meaning of classified... G http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3520264/...ents_do_Happen

The Mind Inside. In the Line of Duty' from Sam's point of view. What happened in her mind while Jolinar was in there with her? Why was she so devestated when the Tok'ra sacrificed itself for her? PG-13 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3629946/1/The_Mind_Inside

I will post those links, but I think I'll wait a few days. I've already flooded this thread sufficiently for a while I have posted a few S/M fanfic links in the Sam/Martouf/Lantash ship thread - I have a suspicion those were the once you wanted?

Note, however, the ship fanfics on the list I have are not all ships between Tok'ra (by a long shot) or Tok'ra/someone from SGC. The stories are on the list because there are Tok'ra in the story. The pairing may be Sam/Jack or Sam/Daniel for instance (though there are also a lot with one or more Tok'ra involved).

    My zat arrived today :-D
It's a solid resin cast with the top "flare" piece separate; seems to be the common style. So I'm now gonna design workings to fit inside the form - a mechanism for the opening function and LEDs (possibly a sound effect function if I find the components) for firing. Once I've got that basic framework together, I'll build a sturdy but demountable zat casing round it. And don't worry, I'm taking plenty pictures and notes as I go, so there can be a web tutorial. If I had the time and money to make several, I could do a Blue Peter style YouTube tutorial LOL But I don't have that, so I guess not.

Oh, I'm here. I just don't have much to say on the fanfiction subject because I don't read much fic and since that 2005 fic with my sister I haven't written much fic.

Looking forward to seeing the zat, Jalnor!

Good to hear from you, nebulan I am glad to hear you got the quiz to work the same in IE and FF - good work

I don't read much fanfic either - except for Tok'ra fic. I usually read all fanfic I find where the word 'Tok'ra' are in the summary, or the name of one or more Tok'ra are in the header *grins*. I am Tok'ra obsessed...and I will even just as happily read stories about OC Tok'ra.
So, I guess the real reason I read little fanfic is that there is usually no more than 1 chapter or so in a Tok'ra-related story per week...and then the irregular surprise of an extra Tok'ra story pops up from time to time

I know Isis Awards is running, so I am looking forward to them opening voting and *hopefully* there will be some new Tok'ra fanfic to read I haven't seen before. Unfortunately, they are limited to ship, I think, so I won't get any new gen stories to read...but I may get the names of new Tok'ra authors who I can then look up and see what they have written otherwise
