Did anyone else watch the new Knight Rider and feel they were watching some kind of BSG spin off with they cylons meet transformers feel?

they are both remakes of Glen Larson shows there is going to be some cross over. If you watch the original knight rider the first time you see Kitt the first time you see of him is a single red light going back and forth then the car comes out of the shadows.
