Hey I'm really enjoying what you've done so far...

I would like an episode though where SG1 is doing something and they dont suddenly encounter their enemy or don't suddenly come under fire... Like Atlantis' Sunday...? does that make sense....?

Also what about an Atlantis crossover? It would be interesting to see Atlantis used. Definitely use Atlantis... please

And the Wraith? i know it seems like I want a heap more Atlantis stuff, But i think realisticly these things would be a lot more involved lol....

And the Aliens from Grace! go there, that would make for an interesting story..

Okay. "Inroads, Part 2" should be done by tonight or tomorrow, but in anticipation... new episode details for the mid-season!

Mid-season finale finds SG-1 as "Rogues"
In the first half of the Season 13 mid-season two-parter, Stargate Command is stopped in its tracks; when the Jaffa fall under seige at the hands of the Der'kal, the United Nations refuses to send assistance, citing the fact that Earth cannot afford to lose any more ships. When Dr. Talbot protests, the entire facility is put under lockdown to prevent anyone from disobeying their orders.
But SG-1 isn't about to abandon their allies. The team hatches a daring plan to find a way offworld and help Teal'c and his people... even if it kills them in the process.

Guest characters slated to appear in "Rogues" include:
      - Christopher Judge as Teal'c
      - Tony Amendola as Bra'tac
      - Richard Dean Anderson as Jack O'Neill
      - and a handful of others!

            13x02 "Inroads, Part 2"
Synopsis: When Hebridan falls under siege by the Der'kal armada, the Alliance gathers the full force of its fleet to meet the invaders head-on in an attempt to stop the incursion before it begins.
            Spoiler:
((60 Second Recap of "Inroads, Part 1"))

The Der'kal officer leans over Teal'c, pulling an extremely delicate-looking blade out from within his armor (these aliens wear ornate matte grey armor (almost like that of the Ori warriors, but less Christian-based), and it seems officer wear a dark tan set of thin robes over their armor). He places the knife's edge on Teal'c's throat and introduces himself as Vur'naa, the warrior placed in charge of the Der'kal's vanguard fleet. He says that he has heard tales of the "invincible" Jaffa and wishes to see for himself, pressing the blade into his neck at the same time.

But the Jaffa refuses to say anything, taking the pain in silence and betraying no emotion. When the blade starts to leak even more blood onto his robes, Teal'c's only response is a tightening of the face. Finally, knowing he can go no farther without actually killing him, Vur'naa pulls the knife away, roaring in anger. He turns around and howls at the other Der'kal, shouting something in a language not understood by the prisoners. The warriors roar in agreement, and Vur'naa faces Teal'c once more.

The warrior crouches down and declares that he knows this being, the man called "Teal'c." He proceeds to explain the story that is now famous throughout the galaxy; from his days as the first prime of the false god Apophis to when he joined the people of Earth, to when he fought against the Replicators and Ori, finally liberating his kind. He lunges out with a clawed hand and strikes Teal'c across the jawline, leaving a bloody slice, roaring that he knows of his son Rya'c, who will be amongst the first to offer up his life for the glory of the Der'kal kind.

Finally Teal'c has had enough; he springs to his feet, knocking back the two soldiers holding him down. In an impressive show of strength, he pummels one backwards into a metal post (one of the four that creates the energy cell when active), and grabs the alien's knife. The second warrior attacks him then, landing a single punch that knocks the Jaffa several feet into the air. When he lands, a full dozen Der'kal surround him at once, pistols drawn and ready to fire. Vur'naa towers over the Jaffa then, grinning maliciously down on him. He claims that his people have never known true gods, but with the arrival of the Der'kal, they will witness what is as close as anything they're ever likely to see.

Meanwhile, on Earth, Carter and Mitchell are heading toward Dr. Talbot's office. They've been called in to speak with their new base commander, but both are clearly worried if the diplomat can handle a military crisis such as this; what worse time could the UN have switched out their leader? They enter to find Danielle typing away at a laptop, looking slightly frazzled. She motions for them to be seated, then closes her laptop and sighs. The way she sees it, she has two options considering she's been given temporary authority over Earth's fleet; one, she can send the international fleet back to Garrin's baseworld, but after listening to their mission reports, she doubts it would do much at all.

Then there's her second option, which would be to do nothing... which is, apparently, what the United Nations is leaning towards. They want to recall a ZPM from Atlantis to power the Antarctic outpost and leave the galaxy on its own in the face of such a powerful threat. Carter and Mitchell are apalled, and in disbelief remind Talbot that the IOA realized a few years ago what a mistake that would be; if the galaxy falls, so do they, eventually. But the UN (which is, after all, mostly made up of non-IOA nations) feels that they should wait a month or so and then re-evaluate the situation. Talbot quickly adds that this opinion was only pished through by a broad coalition of Middle Eastern, African, and South American countries, all those that would rather deal with the still-raging civil inplications of the stargate's revelation than start a new war.

Carter asks her what she's going to do, to which she merely puts her head in her hands and explains that she really has no idea. The UN has given her authority over the fleet only because she also has control of the ISGC, but if she goes against them now, the complex and its staff may face severe reprecussions in the long-run. With the majority in New York siding with the isolationists, they may decide to simply shut the facility down entirely.

While Carter and Mitchell think over how to get out of this problem, Teal'c has been placed in his cell once more, slathered in blood. He gazes out of the energy field with weary eyes, watching helpless as the captured Jaffa, Tok'ra, and Serrakin are divided into holding pens, many being badly beaten or shot along the way. Whatever their ultimate motive is, the Der'kal seem to have no problems with harming the natives of the Milky Way, and in fact appear to enjoy it.

As he watches, though, he notices something interesting. A gunship is slowly lowering itself to the ground nearby, no doubt bringing in personnel from orbit, but this ship is familiar: it matches exactly the ones seen on Cindari and Heliopolis ("Secrets and Lies"/"My Enemy's Enemy") and employed by Garrin. The ships must have been of Der'kal design.

Another alien warrior steps off the gunship this time, and Teal'c squints his eyes to see better; Vur'naa has approached the new arrival, and has bowed his head low in respect, indicating this person is of higher status. But whoever it is, their appearance is blocked by a ring of guards. Regardless, there's not much time to dwell on that; a large group of the alien soldiers are leaving their posts and moving toward the gunship and four others that are touching down next to it. Realization dawns on Teal'c now... they're leaving!

But then Vur'naa arrives again, apparently having come back over while the Jaffa warrior was watching the gunships. He forcefully slams a hand onto the cell's closest pole, deactivating the force field. Teal'c stands at once, demanding to know what is going on, but also preparing to fight if necessary. But the alien merely shakes his head at him, pulls out his pistol, and fires a single blast (also green, but this one tinged with what appears to be white electrical arcs) into his chest, dropping him one knee. Seeing that Teal'c is still conscious, Vur'naa growls and sends two more blasts into him, knocking him to the ground. He nods to two nearby soldiers, and tells them to take him aboard one of the gunships, then turns to face his other men.

Vur'naa proclaims that the time has come; more ships have just arrived in orbit, and they are preparing to depart for the world called "Hebridan" at once. He purposefully strides over to and boards the last remaining gunship (the others have taken off), watching Teal'c be lifted onbaord next to him, gives a final alien salute to the soldiers, and then flies off into the sky...

Half a galaxy way, above Chulak, the Alliance fleet is likewise preparing to leave. A dozen ha'tak have been joined by three Nox motherships, two dozen al'kesh sent by the Tok'ra, six Hebridanian frigates, and a ship that seems shockingly familiar; a new Jaffa vessel (a Command Cruiser) has been constructed as a prototype warship, and it is being comitted to this battle. It's design is extremely similar to that of Apophis' mothership (destroyed in S5's "Enemies"), but somewhat more streamlined. On the bridge of the impressive new ship, dubbed the Hak'tyl both in honor of the Hak'tyl warriors and because of the word's meaning (liberation), Bra'tac stands ready for battle. He has obviously aged quite a bit from his days as a leader of the rebellion against the System Lords, but still appears a capable commander.

A transmission comes through from the Nox flagship then, and Anaeus (Lya's father, seen in "Requiem, Part 1") appears onscreen. He asks Bra'tac if he has heard from the Tau'ri, as they should be departing soon if they want to catch the Der'kal offguard. The Jaffa leader replies that he has not, but he will personally have the Hak'tyl head out to Earth before it leaves for Garrin's stronghold (it is implied that it is equipped with an Asgard hyperdrive given to the Jaffa by Earth, thus making it faster than other ha'tak). And with that, the Alliance fleet (minus Bra'tac's vessel) turns and makes the jump. A moment later, the Hak'tyl leaves, as well.

Some time later, Dr. Talbot walks into the control room at ISGC to ask Walter how things are going. He replies that things are alright, then shouts for assistance as his screen flashes red; a ship is exiting hyperspace near Earth, and it's a big one. Talbot immediately orders the Aurora contacted and for the Asgard defense grid to be armed, but the order is negated a moment later when the face of Bra'tac appears on the monitors, quickly explaining that it is a friend that has come. Talbot asks what he wants, and he makes his case, saying that the Alliance fleet just departed Chulak to engage the Der'kal, and that Earth's assistance is needed.

In response, Danielle explains her own bind with the United Nations, but after a few minutes of Bra'tac's advice, she decides to send the Aurora and Thor out. She can't afford to commit the half-dozen or so 303s owned by other nations (mostly isolationist ones) without causing problems, but she thinks that she can get out of any serious reprecussions if only the two 304s are dispatched. Bra'tac thanks her, and asks if SG-1 will be joining the mission... to which she replies that what remains of the team will; she then drops the terrible news of Teal'c's apparent demise.

(Last bit of "Inroads, Part 2," see previous post for first part.)
              Spoiler:
Bra'tac is stunned for a moment, but quickly composes himself. He says, his voice cracking, that there will be a time to mourn his friend's passing later, as right now they must leave. Talbot promises to have the team beamed abaord the Aurora, then wishes the Jaffa master good luck and cuts the connection.

In orbit, the Aurora and Thor approach the Jaffa flagship, coming up alongside it in preparation for the jump to hyperspace. Col. Sanders informs Bra'tac that SG-1 is abaord, and the three ships break orbit. But before they can make the jump, there's a crisis on the planet below; back at the ISGC, Dr. Talbot is about to head back upstairs. But suddenly the stargate comes online and a wormholeis established. It's from Hebridan, and the Hebridanians are reporting an armada of four dozen alien battlecruisers has just dropped out of hyperspace and are attacking in full force. They don't know how much longer they can hold out, either, not with most of their home fleet having been lost in the first attack on Garrin's world.

At once, Talbot comms the Aurora and shouts for them to wait. When she explains what's going on, Bra'tac decides that they must leave for the Serrakin homeworld. The Alliance fleet, being in hyperspace, can not be contacted and told to change course for another hour, so the only hope for the Serrakin lies with these three ships. Daniel mentions that the 303s would really help them out, as they would stand no chance going in alone, a subtle suggestion that Talbot risk the UN's wrath and dispatch the entire fleet.

A moment later, the order goes out for the entire Earth fleet to form up behind the Hak'tyl and plug Hebridan's coordinates into their nav computers. The now augmented force (consisting of the Hak'tyl, the Aurora, the Thor, and 7 BC-303s, including the Ming Yun) powers up their engines and, as one, makes the jump.

En route, Carter is going over a plan she's thought up with Vala; when they drop out of hyperspace, the ships they've brought will begin firing into the heart of the enemy fleet, in an attempt to separate cruisers from one another. At the same time, all the soldiers onboard will be beamed to wherever the Hebridanians say they're needed most on the ground. Vala thinks it's a good plan, but she questions how well their makeshift fleet will do against the Der'kal, considering it will be roughly 5-to-one against them. But Sam reminds her that Hebridan's defense forces will be helping them, so that should help even the odds a bit.

Finally, they drop out of hyperspace over what looks like a nightmare. Massive chunks of the planet's surface below are ablaze with fire from orbital bombardment (no doubt before the Hebridanians realized what was happening) and a thick cloud of debris is floating nearby from the ships destroyed thus far. Through a thick weave of green, blue, and red light (energy blasts being exchanged by the Der'kal and defenders), the defending forces can be seen; a mere 16 Serrakin cruisers remain, but hundreds of smaller fighters, bombers, and cargo ships can be seen in the fray, as well.

Immediately, the Earth ships spring into action, with the Hak'tyl firing its long-range energy canons at once. The 303s arc forward and begin blasting the Der'kal with Asgard-designed weaponry, drawing the attention away from the larger 304s. At the same time (once the soldiers aboard have been beamed to the planet) the larger ships themselves open fire, launching dozens of naquadriah-enhanced nukes that explode magnificently against the few alien ships that have lost their shields.

On the Aurora's bridge, the sensors officer suddenly calls out in shock; she is picking up Teal'c's locator beacon on one of the larger enemy cruisers. Mitchell demands to know how that's possible, but the officer merely replies that she has no idea, but either way, it can't be beamed out until that particular ship's shielding is down. Almost at once, Mitchell rushes for the 302 bay, determined to have the fleet's squadrons take them out.

While Cameron is attempting his resuce plan, Carter is on the comm. board calling for a connection with whomever is in charge of the Hebridanian defense. After several attempts, she finally reaches the Seberus, which is being skillfully piloted by her old friend Warrik, delivering Serrakin-designed fission bombs to Der'kal targets. He says that the Admiralty was wiped out when TechCon's headquarters was hit from orbit, and he has assumed command of the defense fleet. He points out several Serrakin ships that need assistance, and Sam promises to send 303s to back them up as soon as possible. Her friend gives his thanks, then cuts the connection as he returns to the battle proper.

Meanwhile, Mitchell and almost 30 other F-302s are launching from their respective hangers and speeding toward the ship that Teal'c's locator beacon was detected on. A group of Der'kal fighters come around to meet them, but the Earth fightercraft simply shove their thrusters to maximum power and fly by them, intent on their primary mission. Once they're within range, Mitchell has them launch every missile they've got (he hints that some have been given naquadriah enhancements), and they explode onto the shields a few seconds later. Another salvo is launched, followed by a few potshots from the Aurora, and the enemy shields finally fail.

On the enemy flagship itself, Teal'c is in yet another Der'kal cell. THe inside of these ships is, like the armor the soldiers wear, very ornate and delicate-looking, though it is no doubt far more sturdy than it appears. Suddenly, the ship is rocked violently, and Teal'c is thrown from the bench he was sitting on nursing his wounds. Two guards enter the room with their pistols drawn, ordering the Jaffa to his feet. They're going to move him to an area of the ship with internal shields now that the primary ones have failed, but it doesn't matter; a transport beam ungulfs Teal'c and he disappears... appearing on the bridge of the Aurora, where he collapses greatfully in Col. Carter's arms. She asks what in God's name happened to him (ie. his wounds), but he just shakes his head and mutters that it's nice to see, as O'Neill might say, "A friendly face."

Outside, things aren't getting much better. Now that they have to face the enemy interceptors, Mitchell is finding that the 302s are no match for these nimble fighters. The Der'kal ships are faster and more agile than their own, and they fire energy pellets almost as rapidly as the machine-guns strapped to the 302s. Nearby, a 303 and a Hebridanian ship explode, sending a trio of F-302s careening into space.

Bra'tac contacts Col. Sanders then, saying that four enemy cruisers have turned on the Hak'tyl and are quickly depleting their shields. The ship's supply of death gliders are being chewed apart, and the Jaffa don't know how much longer they can do this. In an ironic twist of fate, the question of "should we stay or should we go" is answered for them when, a moment later, a Der'kal warship blasts two Serrakin ones to bits and gains a clear shot down to the last un-touched metropolis on Hebridan's surface. A shower of green plasma blasts rain down on it, and even from orbit it is clear that there's no hope left for the planet now. The reinforcements simply took too long to arrive.

Patching in alongside Bra'tac, Warrik tells Sam to get out of here; the Hebridanian forces will hold off the Der'kal (who have lost two cruisers and three smaller frigates by now) long enough for them to escape. Carter acknowledges, but not before watching yet another 303 go up in flames and explode. She begs her friend to come with them, but Warrik proudly proclaims that if his people are to die this day, he will go down defending them. Seeing she has no choice, Carter orders the Earth ships to fall back and retreat to Earth, watching the F-302s return to their hangers.

As the ships open their hyperspace windows and flee, Daniel, Sam, and an injured Teal'c look out as the last of the Serrakin cruisers are destroyed... and the entire Der'kal fleet turns back to its destruction of Hebridan itself... and the Serrakin race.

Back on Earth, Dr. Talbot welcomes SG-1 home in the gate room when they beam-in. She tells them that the Alliance fleet reported no ships around Garrin's planet when they arrived, though they noted two nuclear craters, one from when Sam destroyed Garrin's base ("Shatterpoint"), and one that looks more recent. Teal'c guesses that they nuked the prisoner camp they had set up to kill all those there and also remove any evidence of their technology or presence on the planet. The various ship captains all offer their most-sincere apologies for not being able to help in the defense of Hebridan, and the few Serrakin that survived (stationed at Heliopolis) are being treated with the utmost respect.

Jackson sighs, noting that the Alliance has lost a member this day, and is that much weaker because of it. They had all hoped the combined might of the Alliance could protect the galaxy, but they had never anticipated anyone being able to attack them when almost no ships were available to come to the rescue. As Teal'c adds, the Der'kal seem to be living up to their promise of destroying the galaxy's defenders as quickly as possible.

As the team files out, Daniel asks Dr. Talbot what the fallout is in New York. She says that the United Nations muttered a bit about having the fleet sent out, but for a while it seemed as though they would be alright with it. But an hour ago, the news broke; the isolationist nations are calling for the International Stargate Command to be moved to Washington, stripped of its military protection, and put under their direct control, citing the loss of the 303s over Hebridan as cause to manage it themselves. For now, the United States and its allies are blocking this, but that will only last so long as public opinion is with them... and as long as they don't slip up again.

On that final, somber note, Daniel holds out a hand, formally welcomes Talbot to life at Stargate Command, and walks out, leaving the Doctor to wonder what, exactly, she's gotten herself into here.

              ((The End))

Well you have to think of the nations that are lobbying for isolation right now; they're all mostly third-world countries that have largely been neglected in the last few centuries, and they'd obviously want problems here on Earth to be addressed before the West goes galavanting off into space. And with the Stargate Program revealed, we've seen a whole new slew of problems, from religious revolts to mass riots.

They do have a point... but right now may not be the best time to be bringing that up, what with the whole alien invasion and all

                    Questions

1: Why is the UN controlling the ships instead of the ISGC

2: It's a mistake for the UN to shut down the SGC even though some of the 303 was lost during the battle over Hebridan.

                    3. Who is in charge of the UN? Send General Jack O'Neill and platoon of marines to the UN and take over the building.

                    4. Why wont the 5 members disband the UN and start their own united front called GATO (Gate Alliance Treaty Organization) The Alliance for short so we wont have a whole mess of countries.

The Department of Homeworld Security officially took over control of the 304 fleet in late SG-1, and when the United Nations took control of the Stargate Program over the United States alone (Season 11's "Coming Clean" and the following episodes), they essentially merged with the DoHS. So technically, they've been responsible for all fleet action in seasons 11 and 12, but power was deferred to Talbot in this case due to the nature of the emergency.

2: It's a mistake for the UN to shut down the SGC even though some of the 303 was lost during the battle over Hebridan.
The UN has yet to take official action against the ISGC, but Daniel and Talbot both suspect they'll face consequences in the long-run. Besides, you have to remember that the majority of the UN (3rd world nations) now support isolationism. We may not see it much due to the perspective SG-1 is seen from, but Earth's still facing a lot of internal issues, and civil war is still a high possibility.

                      3. Who is in charge of the UN? Send General Jack O'Neill and platoon of marines to the UN and take over the building.
The General Secretary, as in the real world, is the official head of the UN. The current one first appeared in Season 12, in "Manifest Destiny," and she actually supports ISGC's autonomy. But ultimately, it's the UN General Assembly that wields the real power here. And if the military was to take over the UN, I'm fairly certain the rest of the world would respond with aggression... not the best idea right now.

                      4. Why wont the 5 members disband the UN and start their own united front called GATO (Gate Alliance Treaty Organization) The Alliance for short so we wont have a whole mess of countries.
First off, because the gate is public now, and the entire planet is demanding representation in offworld affairs. And secondly, because the Gate Alliance Treaty nations from "Disclosure" can't disband the UN; it can't be disbanded. And leaving the UN would have serious economic and political effects that they simply can't have right now, not with the possibility of an alien armada attacking at any moment. Whatever Earth does, it needs to stand united if we're going to survive.

For the moment, I'm sticking with "No." I really don't have the time anyway, and I find it much more relaxing and less stressful just to write out a detailed summary of the episode like I am now.
