Just Something I Noticed.

In Spoils Of War while McKay and Major Lorne are on the ship while Shepard is on his way to get Teyla, Lorne finds some food and hands it out while stating he found it on the jumper but the jumper would not have been there as Shepard would have needed it to get back to Atlantis.
Just some pointless trivia, dunno if anyone else noticed this.

There are far more important things that the SGA writers always seem to forget or change without explanation.
My question is if these teams were going on a mission, don't they bring along a backpack with survival stuff like food and water rations? We have seen before that they have like Sheppard had (I think) only two power bars with him after he went through the portal in Epiphany.

I imagine it depends on whatever (or if) recon was performed, and whether they're in the jumper or on foot.
