I think they'd be able to create some pretty strong glass themselves, the X304 has large windows aswell so it wouldn't be that difficult. They might even have learned from the database / asgard how to create some pretty strong windows.

I'm sure the glass is tempered or something that if broken, wouldn't harm anyone (in reality). As for what the Lanteans replaced it with, can you see the order "We'd like to get a piece of shatterproof glass, this big by this big, and can you send it to the Pegaus galaxy...."

Why is this still going on? We have 100% proof in "Reunion" and "Doppelganger" that the glass is back to normal the same way it always was.

The facts are that we don't know how it was replaced, maybe the Ancients kept spares of their stain glass windows, maybe Weir when she had the nanties built a new one.
