He had just woken up and probably wasn't expecting to see a teenaged clone of himself! Its not something that happens a lot, even in Stargate! He may have thought 'he looks like I did at that age' but the idea that they are the same person might not have occurred to him! How often do you see people who remind you of yourself when you were younger?
