Three Big Finish Audios Nominated for Scribe Awards

Once again, Big Finish has reached the shortlist of the annual Scribe Awards, organised by the International Association of Tie-In Writers. The nominees this year are Dark Shadows: The Phantom Bride and The Flip Side and Blake's 7: The Armageddon Storm. Good luck to all of them!

The Scribe Awards acknowledge and celebrate excellence in licensed tie-in writing, and last year Big Finish took home the Best Audio award for Dark Shadows: The Eternal Actress by Nev Fountain.

Big Finish is pleased to announce the return of fan-favourite Tom Chadbon to Blake’s 7 this August in the Liberator Chronicles Volume 9.

Tom made a huge impact as mercenary Del Grant in the 1979 episode Countdown and reprised his role in last year’s three-part Liberator Chronicles special, The Armageddon Storm.

Now, Grant is back as a new member of the Liberator crew. The next exciting three-disc box set sees Grant teaming up with Tarrant on a dangerous assassination plot in Defector and leads Vila into the murky world of an illegal arms bazaar in Secrets.

Volume 9 also introduces a new character to the Blake’s 7 universe. Solvin Tavac is a Federation official with a shady past. Played by the redoubtable David Warner, Tavac’s involvement in the events of Planetfall and Secrets will have ramifications for years to come.

All three stories are by popular Big Finish writing team Cavan Scott and Mark Wright, and the Liberator Chronicles - Volume 9 box set is available for pre-order now.

Any word on the Blake 7 Reboot?

I haven't seen anything about it lately. I don't know whether to be relieved or not.

Back in 2002, Kevin Jon Davies made 3 documentaries, one feature for each of the first three series, that were meant to be included on the B7 DVDs as extras. Unfortunately B7 Enterprises, who had acquired the rights to B7 in order to make new audios and other things, blocked them.

However, two of three documentaries are now up on You Tube. It's such a shame they never made it to the DVDs.

They bought back a lot of memories.

Part 3 has to be out there, somewhere.

About a week ago, someone asked this Kevin Davies if he will be uploading the final part, and he said he would be soon. Seems to me that he is uploading them one every 4 weeks, so we may see the next around 12th May. I'm really looking forward to seeing it!

Part 3 of the Making of Blake's 7. I don't have time to watch it at the minute but I'm so looking forward to seeing it!

Edit - I've just watched it and it related solely to S3. I have really enjoyed these. I wish there was one for S4 as well.
