    SCRIPTED DEVELOPMENT

    MINI-SODES:

    BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: RAZOR

In anticipation of the premiere of SCI FI's stunning two-hour event,
Battlestar Galactica: Razor, the Channel will whet viewers' appetites
with an eight-week series of exclusive 2-3 minute mini-sodes.
Premiering in October on SCI FI during primetime, these promotional
shorts will lead into the November 24 premiere of Razor, a special
extended episode that will provide a backdrop to events that will
take place in the rest of season four of Galactica. Written by
Michael Taylor, and directed by Wayne Rose and Felix Alcala, these
shorts will provide a sneak peek into the original Cylon War, when a
young pilot named William Adama (Nico Cortez) discovers a dangerous
Cylon weapon that will come back to haunt him and his crew 40 years
later. Filmed as part of the extended episode, the mini-sodes will be
included in the unrated Universal Home Video release of Razor. They
will also be available on SCIFI.COM after their on-air debuts.
Battlestar Galactica: Razor will tell the story of Lee Adama's (Jamie
Bamber) first mission as commander of the Battlestar Pegasus and will
reveal the story of how Admiral Cain (Michelle Forbes) served her
ship during the original Cylon attack on the Colonies.

                Great news!
                We're whalers on the moon,
                We carry a harpoon.
                But there ain't no whales
                So we tell tall tales
                And sing our whaling tune.

It says that the minisodes are scenes cut from Razor's television premiere and will be included in the uncut video release of the movie. So it seems more like the situation with the extended episode Pegasus, except that we will get to see these scenes before the extended version is out.

They're not cut scenes, they're scenes that are being filmed alongside Razor with the intention of using them as webisodes. They will tie into the story though, likely in the same way as last year's webisodes tied into the occupation of New Caprica storyline.

As long as I can see them on sci-fi.com(since I'm in Canada), it's cool by me. And we'll all get them on the dvd whenever it's released.

If SciFi pulls their 'US only' games, there's always Youtube. Long as you strike while the iron's hot.

Meh, I managed to get the ones that weern't on Youtube via P2P anyway.

Bear in mind that here in old Blighty, I'm STILL waiting for the DVD telease so I still wouldn't have got to watch the webisodes until Sepember when they release the DVDs.

I think we in England get the DVDs before the US, no? Whether or not the Websidoes will be on there is another matter...

I'm excited to hear they're making more, as I felt last years helped build my excitment for series 3. Also, I believe theres a fan website you can download them off if you can't find them on YouTube or whatever.
