"Be All My Sins Remember'd" Pre-Airing Discussion and Speculation (Spoiler)

What we know so far about this episode:

    From JM:

It’s the second part of the mid-season two-parter compliments of Marty G. I predict it will vie for the title of Season Four Fan Favorite Episode. We’ll see if the title sticks.
Also, courtesy of The Stargate Atlantis Spoiler Community:

The second part of the mid-season two parter will be a “science geek episode”, featuring “a lot of space ships and advanced technology at work” and will in some way involve the legacy of the Asgard’s technology left to the human race in SG1’s Unending. The episode will be written by Martin Gero.
    Discuss away!

The title is a quote from Hamlet; specifically, it's part of this famous soliloquy (also note episode 410's title in there):

      HAMLET
To be, or not to be: that is the question: (3.1.55)
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep; (3.1.59)
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
      Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub; (3.1.64)
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life; (3.1.68)
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear, (3.1.75)
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn <--- Star Trek 6!
No traveller returns, puzzles the will (3.1.79)
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
      Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought, (3.1.84)
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.--Soft you now! (3.1.87)
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remember'd. (3.1.89)
      That last part is explained:

      Hamlet sees Ophelia:
After a few more words about how thinking stops action, Hamlet sees Ophelia and greets her. His greeting, like his soliloquy, is surprising. Ophelia has dumped him, and he has paid her a strange, silent visit that frightened her, but now he says "Nymph, in thy orisons / Be all my sins remember'd" (3.1.88-89). A "nymph" is a minor goddess of a field, forest, or stream, and a "nymph" is any beautiful girl that could be thought to look like a nymph. In short, Hamlet just called Ophelia something like "babe," and asked her to pray for him.

As we find out more about this two-parter, I think that it's going to be about the Ancients. "shucking off this mortal coil", fear of death... that sounds a lot like ascension to me. The fear of death might sound contradicory because ascension is a sort of death, but when Oma offered ascension to Daniel again in S8, she basically said that he could ascend or die and no one wants to go down that road. Well, unless they have issues

We also know that the Ancients have "sinned" a lot and have done as much harm as good over their thousands of years of rule. From the mention of spaceship battles, I think this is going to deal with their great and "remembered sins" with the Asurans and the Wraith.

How does that sound? Close, waaaay off or "omg that's awesome!"?

Awesome coincidence... I've just this evening re-watched Dr Who ep 3x02 The Shakespeare Code... in which
              Spoiler:
Shakespeare comes up with the line "To be or not to be.." and the Dr tells him, "You should write that down." Shakespeare thinks about it and says, "Hmmm, I don't know.. bit pretentious maybe?"

I figured it had to do with Michael. Tragic son you're unsure whether he is mad, or a product of his socially debilitating environment. A reactionary self-destructive puppet. ~sigh~

                Poor Michael.

JM has said that Michael does not appear in the front half of Season 4; now, this ep is obviously not part of the front half, but seeing as it's part 2 of a front half ep, I'm guessing Michael is not involved.

Or JM is going by a count. Maybe the story starts off with those bloody bugs in the first half and ends with him..isn't this like a three parter.

Now I might push some buttons...maybe another cast member dies?! Isn't it Gero who likes to kill characters or is that Binder?! I need to keep my mouth shut, before we see a Save Zelenka thread.

                      Gero is indeed the reaper.

But don't fear him; there is no need.

I wonder if anyone got that reference...

I got the reference...you're doomed anyway. Figured as much. We all know that Hamlet died at the end...and that actually happens to be my favorite scene with my favorite line.

                          Hamlet. O, I die, Horatio!
The potent poison quite o'ercrows my spirit. 4015
I cannot live to hear the news from England,
But I do prophesy th' election lights
On Fortinbras. He has my dying voice.
So tell him, with th' occurrents, more and less,
Which have solicited- the rest is silence. Dies.

Horatio. Now cracks a noble heart. Good night, sweet prince,
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!

It's absolutely pathetic and the impact just breathtaking. Meh, I had a thing for Horatio. Hamlet was second best in my heart.

Royalty of some kind die?! Those in lead positions?! John would be a good Hamlet as a matter of fact, Michael is more poetic.
