I'm most likely relocating to VA, and was wondering if any gateworlders who live there could give me some info on a few certain areas. Mostly outside of DC - Fairfax and Prince William counties, but as well as down near Richmond in Hanover and Henrico counties. I have a friend who lives in Fairfax county, and says northern VA is the tops - and southern VA is like the deep south lol.
Any info would be great, but I'm specifically looking for apartment prices, type of living environments (suburbs, etc), demographics, cost of living and a good salary to support it, etc etc. I've done some research but it's always better to hear from actual people that live there.
