I could be wrong, but my understanding is, in the air force you keep getting more stars, up to - in peace time - 4 stars, and in war time you get special 5 star generals.

Hammond has 2 i believe, Jack only one. Although I think Hammond always had 2 so its a bit odd he didnt get one more...

Dr. Weir doesn't have a husband. Garwin Sanford plays her long-time boyfriend though. I'm not sure why they used the same actor. They probably just like him.

Well, you see, Narim escaped the destruction of Tollanna, took a small ship and fled to Earth, then settled down with Elizabeth Wier and took on an Earth (I'd say Human, but he is Human, lol) identity, and walla... same guy.
