Chapter 1
Susanne walked down the corridor of coalition prime, her black suit crisp, her brown hair tied neatly into a ponytail and her eyes glittered as she walked towards the dock. From inside her head a voice spoke. “Why again are the asgard dumping us with their experiment?” Susanne sighed as she heard her symbiote awakening. Being a tok’ra can be a pain in the ass at times. “ Because they want her to lead a normal life…well as normal as you can get around here,” she muttered “ but why here?” came the instant reply “because sekmet this is the best place, away from the fighting, barely little to do around here.” She muttered again. Finally they reached the docks as the O’Neill landed, Susanne approached carefully as a nearly human person came out escorted by SGC troops and Thor himself. Thor walked up to Susanne his head barely higher than her stomach and she greeted him. “Welcome thor, I trust the journey wasn’t difficult?” Thor stood staring for some time before speaking “ no it was not difficult doctor, I trust you have already been briefed about our subject?” Susanne nodded and pulled a file from under her arm
“ I believe the subject is human, has most of our qualities but is telekinetic correct?” Thor nodded in agreement “ she has never seen much of the world, some rehabilitation is in order” Susanne muttered a polite “of course” before looking at the bases new charge “we will trouble you no further sir” she said as she indicated the soldiers and the subject to follow her, as they walked further into the base.
They reached the infirmary and Susanne stopped “ you may leave now” she instructed the soldiers, they nodded and left, Susanne swiftly entered and removed her black jacket, preferring to put on a white lab coat. ”Please take a seat,” she said politely patting a bed. The woman did as she was told and sat down. Susanne began to examine her, after a few minutes she spoke again “ do you have a name?” the girl looked up, her brown hair framing her face muttered “hope”. As Susanne finished her examination of the new recruit she pulled off her latex gloves. “ I think you’ll like it here hope” she said cheerily “ some of the men are pigs but you get to know how to shut them up pretty quickly” hope screwed up her face as she hopped down off the bed “your thinking of threatening them to shut them up” Susanne looked up shocked before smiling “ you have a lot to learn about the type of man that deserves it” hope stood and watched Susanne pack away the medical equipment. Susanne stood up and said, “now follow me and ill show you your room” hope nodded and followed her out and along the corridors. She found it strange that her new friend kept muttering to herself, as they approached her new room she felt compelled to ask “ excuse me doctor but why do you mutter to yourself?” Susanne looked around and peered at hope “I was wondering when you’d ask that, you see I have a symbiote. A tok’ra symbiote” hope screwed up her face “tok’ra?” Susanne laughed, but it wasn’t Susanne it was the symbiote “yes tok’ra hope, you see the tok’ra are different to the gou’ld…ill explain later, right now I have work to do, and your quite lucky, your room is next to ours” she smiled and walked away as hope entered her new room.
