    Myths

Which myth did you like the most associated with the goauld or asgard it can be there origanal myth or they way they protraved themselves in the show?
Foe me it boils down to 2 Sokar and Seth.
Sokar because he protrayed himself as the devil
Seth because he was the egyption god of chaos

I do seem to remember an Asguard/Go'uld called Loki, I love the name as he was the god of mischief, but I adore the use of Nordic myths, Thor and so on.
My favourite still remains Ra, the sun god. He is everything an egyptian god could emcompass in my eyes.

For me, all of the Goa'uld myths started to run together once they started bringing in Goa'uld after Goa'uld. It just diluted everything IMHO.

I like me some of that Ori/Merlin/Medieval myths better. Of course, the Atlantis story worked too.

I like all the Asgard myths in the show especially Thor and Loki. I agree with PG15 that the new Merlin/Arthur/Ori myth is really working for the show.
            Spoiler:
So many colours. All the pretty horses.
            What's he talking about?
I gave him some morphine for the pain. I may have given him a wee bit too much, but he was making it impossible for me to treat him.
Excuse me. Why am I lying here?
You have an arrow, Rodney, in your gluteus maximus.
Oh. Well, that sounds painful. Gluteus maximus. Glootus...maaxim ...Oh my God! That's my ass, isn't it?!
            Aye.

I personnally like how Stargate has played on all these myths and provided in some why (Although it is fiction) a possible explanation of the Norse, Egyption and Arthian myths

I liked the Asgard ones the best too. This is probably just because there were so many involving the Goa'uld that it was too hard to keep track and find them as fascinating--like PG15 said.

The good thing about using myths is that the tptb create possible answers that people may feel has a possible validity, which they may never of thought of themselves.

I'm interested In the Arthian and Eygption myths the most

That is what makes the asgard great.

                              Sokar and Hathor

Sokar because it made an actual place for hell.

Hathor because I know women like that. Thank god it already happened to me so I am ammuned now. Thanks SG-1 for getting me out of that mess.
