To answer your question, i'd assume that a research and recon team most likely was sent through looking for stuff. sicne nothing has been mentioned, i'd also assume that there were no results.

Too True! Wormhole Xtreme followed up on Martin and his alien buddies. Nothing about what they would find when they got there...and Martin could have told them, or O'neill for that matter if recon teams had been sent.
