If the Wraith begin industrial farming of people that will means enough food for the whole Wraith population. Wraith genetic engineering is enough advance to produce "tasty" humans. I think the reason humans to be free in their reproduction is hidden somewhere else.

THAT is a question which many people ask)) I wonder too We haven't seen any other female Wraiths exept the Queens. May be because of the bug gens in their DNA the females are a small part of the newborns. May be less then 1%. Perhaps the Queen choose to mate only with the strongest males in the hive. But in the other hand we saw in Sateda that at least one hive is ruled by a male. I hope this whole thing will be clear up in the Season 4.

I have a theory for Elia. We know that she and some other Wraiths appeared on the planet suddenly and crashed. What if...she was an adolelecent Queen? And there was a coup d'etat against her? I know it sounds little crazy but it's a good explanation till someone find a better one

Eggs? Hmmmm....I remembered Dr. Becket mentioned that the Wraith anatomy is similar to the humans. I think if they reproduce through eggs they need to have different internal organs. But that is a good explanation. I really hope the writers of SGA will decide to enlightened us soon about that thing.

yes i like that theory maybe she was to be the new queen and the old queen would see this as compition and not wanting her spot taken over she would order her trustworthy wraith to go get rid of her , so the ones who protected Elia took her away til she is old enough to takeover the hive, but they got shot down by there own kind and crashed into a planet her protecters were killed and there was only one left and its kinda like starwars with luke and ben kenobi he had to wait til she was old enough to take her back and train her ect but when atlantis crew came they ruined the plan
