Perhaps you have overlooked the fact that every member of the team, and the crew of Atlantis has a headset....and if not ALL, then most. Communication is crucial in a place as large as Atlantis and in a place where the unexpected occurs frquently. It is NOT a hair accessory, fashionalbe or otherwise and I think Elizabeth looks fine with it or without it.

I agree, except Weir hasn't really sold me that she's the leader of this expedition. It seems like whenever we see her she's looking to others for decisions (particularly Sheppard) or allowing other people to do their thing without asserting any control (see Sargeant Bates).

A good leader always keep's wise council.

Torri has sold me....I find her portrayal of Dr. Weir to be dead on. She is neither too pushy or too weak. She leads by example and is never afraid to ask for help or suggestions. She respects her entire crew and allows others to see her grieve, a rare quality in a good leader. But that's just my take....

Sheppard wears his a lot. No big deal. It's better than having people whip out cellphones!
