Season Three opens with a flashback glimpse of the daily lives of The Others. Obviously, they are not survivors of any previous calamities as previously claimed. They live in a small village, complete with electrical power and all the amenities. They even have a book of the month club.

Pop Syndicate review of "The Glass Ballerina":

    http://www.popsyndicate.com/index.ph...ass_ballerina/

The second episode of season three is a wee bit short on action and answers, and long on exposition and even more questions, much like the series itself. We’ve only seen 69 days unfold in two years of episodes? Yikes! Lost is the rare simmering crock-pot TV series mixed in amongst the vast majority of microwavable TV series.

Pop Syndicate Review of "Further Instructions":

      A brief excerpt:

My favorite part of this episode was Boone’s “ghost” with Locke back at the Sydney airport during Locke’s sweat lodge vision. We see their fellow Ocean Flight passengers waiting for flight 815. Some of the passengers have different assignments: Hurley as the ticket agent, Desmond as a pilot, and Benjamin Linus as security. Locke’s vision ends with a brief glimpse of the polar bear (?) in fire.
