    Scifi choice: Sg1 or wrestling

Does anyone else see a programming error on scifi decision to tank sg1 and keep the WWF..

is the scifi channel starting to go mainstream???

The WWF belongs on Spike, Fox, etc....I dont see any connection to the scifi realm...

    what do you guys think...

I dont understand the inclusion of WWF either on the SciFi channel. But, then again I gave up trying to understand the "higher thinking" of the execs at SciFi.

My guess was that all they saw were $$$ signs and forgot the orginial purpose of the SciFi channel.

Well the UK Scifi channel can also be stupid with some of their choices, but in our defence it tends to be movies which can barely even be considered scifi. We'll get things like disaster movies, post apocolyptic movies, and for some reason the same softcore porn video is in the tv guide as being on everyday this week. Even crap like She Spies.

and honestly how many of us scifi watchers are really wrestling lovers? i dont think very many of us, and how many wrestling watchers would admit to watching the SciFi channel. im pretty sure thats less than those of us who do watch wrestling.
Their white flags are no match to our guns!!

I don't feel it's an "either or" choice. Each show is on a diffferent night, so it's not like ECW is replacing SG1 or another SF program.

What's the big uproar about anyways? Admit it, who watched/tuned into the SFC on Tuesday nights before ECW was placed there? Everybody I know was into "Boston Legal", "Law & Order", "NCIS", "The Unit", "Veronica Mars", "Gilmore Girls", etc etc....even if they were repeats.

I can see why the SFC added wrestling and why SF fans are suspicious about the SFC adding that type of programming to their schedule. The demographics of wrestling is 13-35 and it's one way of getting that age group to discover the SFC and hopefully they will sample other SFC programs that air on other days...like SG1 and SGA...and become regular viewers of those programs. It's a smart decision since the SFC demographics is typically the 18-49 age group. So a younger generation can be exposed to and grow up with the SFC. That's if they enjoy or is interested in the programs that the SFC airs. Tuesday night was pretty much a dead night for the SFC until they paired up "Eureka" and "ECW" and now they have established another night that gathered decent ratings. The question for the SFC is what are they going to air on Tuesday night after Eureka and ECW finishes their 1st run episodes and repeats?
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

The wraith would love the life energy of big muscled humans. As for demographics it admitingly makes sense (sigh).
