Anyone else seen the extended Pegasus yet?

As some of you are no doubt aware there's a new extended version of the Pegasus episode available on the season 2.5 DVD that come on sale this week in North America.

Well I've seen it, and I've made of list of the new material and some general thoughts in my review here.

Obviously that's going to be loaded with spoilers so if you don't want to read them don't click.

All in all the changes make an already fantastic episode even better. A definate recommendation from me.

Yes, it was awesome! I'm glad they explained why Cain was an admiral at such a young age. I also liked the little scene where

everyone was running to the hangar deck to meet Cain's Raptor and that group of officers cut off Laura. Tigh hollered at them for it but she was like, lighten up, it's a momentous occasion! For some reason I thought that was a fun little scene.

Yeah I saw it and loved it. I wish however the episode started off with like a flashback to Scorpion Fleet Shipyards and showed the attack there. Would have made for an awesome, and probably EXPENSIVE, scene. You wouldn't actually see Pegasus. rather the explosions around it then all off a sudden its gone. Then jump to Galactica present day and pick up.

Don't know about you, but me thinks it woulda been cool.

However I recommend checking out the deleted scenes for Downloaded and Lay Down Your Burdens.

Come on...Gaeta does not rock! Now mind you I have nothing against Gaeta...I like the charachter...but he doesn't rock. Adama rocks, Tigh rocks, Starbuck rocks...but Gaeta??? Gaeta most certainly does not rock!

Allow me to qualify your statements.

Adama - well, Adama transcends all words relating to his prowess. There are no words at his level that would correspond to a "rocks." I refuse to accept such a piddling word for someone like Adama.
Tigh - kicks ass.
Starbuck - dominates.

So you see, Gaeta does rock. It's just that the three you mentioned transcend "rock" and leave it available for good ole' Felix.

I like the bit at the hangar deck where Cain obviously knows who Baltar is. It helps with his whole position and authority with Cain regarding the Cylon prisoner.

Loved that scene where everyone was running to the hanger deck with Laura and Tigh, great little bit, can't wait to listen to the commentary.

We didnt get half seasons, we only got the entire season 2 with pod cast commentaries and some deleted scenes.

Doesn't look it. You never know they might repackage the thing and release it again with the extra features.

I'm just waiting for them to release the R1 version as one set rather than 2.0 and 2.5.

I think my favorite scene was Cain's visit to see Sharon in the Galactica brig. You got a preview of the viseral hate that she has for the cylons really well.
