MediasharX: Review of "Icon"
(This episode earned 1 and one half shark fins out of five. Please follow the link for the complete review.)
STARGATE SG-1 - "Icon"
Lying in a bed, Daniel Jackson's face is wrapped in bandages. A redheaded woman begins to unwrap the bandages, revealing some pretty nasty wounds. Daniel is at first confused, but it gets better when the redhead, Leda, informs him of where he is (a new planet), and the state of the world around them: war.
Icon comes across as filler, all pomp and circumstance with no real punch, no power, and ultimately, no excitement. The first black mark on a spectacular season. Here's hoping it's the only one.
Jackson: "None of this would have happened if we hadn't come here."
Leda: "You're alive. Considering what you've been through, that alone is a miracle."
O'Neill: "That's terrible...and yet, not our problem."
O'Neill: "We're always sticking our collective noses where they don't belong, it's what we do."
Jackson: "Don't let appearances fool ya, I still feel terrible."
Soren: "You speak what is on your mind. I admire that."
O'Neill: "Actually, in your case, he's holding back."
Soren: "You question your faith? I will show you faith."
Kane: "It's over."
Jackson: "I hope so. You may have just made a martyr."
Next Episode: - "Avatar" Teal'c takes the spotlight as he becomes trapped in a VR video game, facing down Anubis' supersoldiers over and over.
