Favorite Jack and Daniel Moment

I think that the balcony scene in The light is one of my all time favorite moments too. Daniel's quiet "Jack?" as he suddenly realises he's not alone. Jack lunging to grap his arm and the gentle rub and pat on the shoulder wonderful stuff.

I do think that RDA did his best work with MS. They were amazing together.

Anyway, I just love it when they bicker! One that stands out right now is the one in The Fifth Race:
DANIEL: You just said there's 'nothing cruvus' with you.
JACK: I did not.
DANIEL: Yes, you did.
JACK: No I didn't.
DANIEL: Yes, you did.
JACK: Didn't.
DANIEL: Did.
JACK: Didn't.
DANIEL: Did.
JACK: Cruvus, what is that?


And thus, the cliche that fanfics fall back to is born.

The 'spacemonkey' moment when Jack gives Daniel the biggest hug and goofy grin after thinking he'd been killed on Klorel's ship.

There are loads of funny moments with them. I'll think of one later. If we're talking about serious moments though I liked the end to Meridian
Daniel begins to walk up the ramp:
Jack: Hey. Where are you going?
Daniel: I don't know.
Jack nods in understanding.

Also I like the bit from Red Sky
Daniel: Jack would you Stop!
Jack: THEY KILLED TWO OF MY MEN!
Daniel: Yest they did. But not all of the people here are responsible here are resposable for that. And even the ones that were were only doing what they thought was right.
Jack: I really don't care!
Daniel: Well I do.

There are many others throughout the seasons.

Hey, P-90. I like that one from Red Sky too. I mean, I know -exactly- how Jack feels (or would if that happened to me) and really, at that point, only Daniel could have gotten through to him. One of the best example of Daniel acting as Jack's conscience.

The last scene in "Need."

There ARE too many in "Lost City" to count, but the ones that stick in my mind are a couple very quick ones: Daniel yelling out Jack's name when he stuck his head in the Ancient device; then hauling him up by the collar when he fell on the way to the gate, Jack asking "What's going on?"

Meridian scene where Jack is sitting with Daniel, the grief-stricken look on his face when nobody is watching.

All their bickering, yes!

Season eight "Who shot me?"

And one that doesn't get much mention. Nicholas Ballard speaking for Daniel, who is invisible to everyone else. "Don't be an ass, Jack!" and Jack immediately knowing that could only be him, "Daniel?"

Agreed, however the following is my favorite of the episode.

Jack: Ok, put yourself in my shoes and me in yours
Daniel: You'd be here for me
Jack: Damn straight, I'd have busted you out.. blown this rathole to hell and made sure that son of a ***** suffered.
Daniel: The others would have stopped you
Jack: They'd have a hell of a fight on thier hands
Daniel: You wouldn't do tha..
Jack: Baal would be dead
Daniel: Jack...
Jack: And don't think I'd stop there
Daniel: You're a better man than that
Jack: THATS WHERE YOU'RE WRONG!

That scene is pretty much my all time favorite.. even though (or perhaps especially because) it is a season 6 episode!

Daniel/O'Neill: Physically.
Frasier: Well, there's nothing wrong with you.

I like that moment at the end in Shades of Grey, where Jack tries to make it up to Daniel for the whole lack of 'foundation' misunderstanding. Sweet!
