What makes Stargate SG 1 so good!?

Hey uys. I weas wondering what makes Stargate SG 1 so good!? Is it the characters, actors, directors, scropt writers ro everything or anythign really. What to you is it? To me it is the actors and the atmosphere they have with each other. Whats yours?

The promise of things mysterious, unique and mind-boggling.

Of course they failed to deliver, and cheapened the series by merging Stargate with Farscape.

It used to be the realistic world clashing with the extra-ordinary, people dealing with hostile aliens but still having to deal with the laws they are bound by. The ways they deal with drug abuse (Need), racism (The Other Side) etc. The characters were also very human in their emotions(Lifeboat, Heroes, Solitudes, Meridian) backed up by great story lines and writting.

I think it's the feelin that it culd actually b happenin around us, it's here on earth, it's now, that's why i wuldn't ever want the stargate programme revealed. It's also gr8 stories, character relations (sumthin we'll hopefully see more of in S10), also the characters are like an addiction and u just wana see more of them, I dont get these same things from atlantis, it's still good but SG-1 is GR8!

I think it's the idea that we might have "Hand's across the World", sure millions of people may drown to make this a reality, but it'll be a sweet and happy day *wipes tear*.

Or the fact that the show has characters that you can connect with.

Aww...
Anyway, why Stargate is good:

• It's sci-fi
• Good action scenes
• Characters I enjoy watching -
• Good storylines
• The humour - and that the writers don't take the show too seriously

There's other reasons, but those are the main ones.

What are you talking about? Stargate isn't anything like Farscape. I've seen every episode of both and they are very different shows.

Best part about Stargate is the characters. Plus the whole set in modern day thing.
