    Wink Christopher Eccleston Thunk thread

For anyone who absolutely loves Christopher Eccleston, I think you should check out Elizabeth. The movie is about the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. He has a very hot scene in this film that completely changed the way I look at him.

I love Christopher Eccleston. I saw the movie Elizabeth when it first came out in the theater. I will have to rent it since I do not remember him in it. I searched this forum for a Christopher Eccleston thunk thread only to find there isn 't one. Am I the only one who finds this man adorable?

Absolutely not. I was never so quickly attracted to a man in my life! I think it was the manic grin he has
As for movies: Elizabeth was great, I also enjoyed he's character in 28 Days Later. I'm still trying to scrounge up the rest of his work (him in Hamlet must have been FanTAStic to see) but it's hard not living in the UK.

Start one, or have you? I would have but then Tennant came a long and well.

Heck no!!! I LOVE him!! He's wonderful in Doctor Who and I can't wait to see a movie with him in it. I'm still waiting for one to come on TV.

What do you mean renamed this thread on you? I asked for it to be made into a Thunk as we have one for Tennant's Doctor. And we already have a discussion thread for CE Doctor. Hope that clear it up.

Ooh, a Chris Thunk thread! I love this man. He's completley goofy one moment and then strong and menacing the next. And I love every aspect of him. And that voice! It just does things to me.

Ohhh!!! I'm glad I saw this!!
    Spoiler:
Before you met me I was a fairy princess
I caught frogs and called them prince
    And made myself a queen
Before you knew me I traveled 'round the world
I slept in castles and fell in love
Because I was taught to dream

I found mayonnaise bottles and poked holes on top
    To capture tinkerbell
They were just fireflies to the untrained eye
    But I could always tell

I believe in fairytales and dreamers dreams like bed sheet sails
And I believe in Peter Pan and miracles
And anything I can to get by
    And fireflies...

Unhappy Re: Christopher Eccleston Thunk thread

Ok.....so let me get this straight.....

I've been watching and enjoying Dr. Who. But I have to admit that I don't know a lot about the series, including this incarnation. But I'm bothered by the end of the season, and the change.

Now I have to get used to a whole new actor in the role? How come?

    (Any information gratefully received.)

I'll try and help, but for a full rundown you should try the "what was wrong with 9" thread, which discusses why Chris left (which in the end, is what caused the switch), or perhaps the general "what is doctor who, etc." thread. But in short:

    Spoiler:
The Doctor is a Time lord, an alien species who has the ability to regenerate after fatal injury into a new body, thus giving each time lord 13 lives from their 12 regenerations. Our Chris was Doc 9, who used his
    Spoiler:
    9th regeneration to save Rose.
Thus a new doctor's body was needed for the next season, aka David Tennant. A word about time lords again: while the body may be new, the doctor is technically the same man, he holds all the memories of his previous incarnations. The big change, aside from appearance? Personality. The personality of each doctor is different when he regernerates, there's the catch to the seemingly great idea. Thus in all, the nice thing about Time Lord bioloy is that it allows for new actors to play the same character. Wild, eh?

Hope that helped abit, but like I said, do check out those other threads, as that's where I got by tutorial as well! (well, that and websearching! Try the Outpost Gallifrey website if desperate!)

And now for some nice Chris pics, as that depressed me a bit (edited: how come most of the pics refuse to load?! oh well...)

Who else loves it when he's brooding? *come on, we all know it's hot...*

Anyone want to discuss his hair? Sometimes it's longish, others it's like he wore it in DW. Any preferences? I'll start: I like it short, I think it highlights his face better.

I loved Christopher's version of the Doctor. Seeing him in the promo for the first episode is what got me to watch the show. I love the Doctor and Rose. The pictures in this thread are fantastic. He'll always be my favorite Doctor.
