Personally, after seeing RDA as O'Neill for so long, I almost seem to forget that he was MacGyver at times.

Gosh, I didn't even know he was MacGyver until a year or so ago. Who was the other person always on mentioned on the Simpsons...Matlock. Yeah, I was shocked when I saw him as MacGyver. I didn't know.

It isn't true McGyvering until he makes a gondola from a rubberband, an iron girder and a toaster.

I'm pretty sure Christopher Judge was in an episode of McGyver aswell

One of my main reasons for watching stargate in the beginning was because "Macguyver" was in it. But now I can only imagine RDA as Jack.

It is also in the first episode, Children of the Gods, when Carter says that it took them years to "McGyver" the dialing system up.

Other little things like that is when someone in Citizen Joe says something about the Seth-episode Joe wrote, that it was "not one of his best", and obvious critique of one of the less succesful episodes.
Also when Daniel makes mention of Teal'c's hair after he regains his memories after ascension he says something about Teal'c used to be "more golden", remarking that that part of Teal'c's makeup has been "forgotten" in later seasons.
"You have been impregnated, without copulation?"
"Yes! And I am absolutly terrified! Have any of you ever heard of anything like it?"
                      "Well, there's one..."
                      "Darth Vader!"
"Really!? How did that turn out?"

                        Other MacGyver things I've noticed:

--Felger putting a roll of duct tape into his backpack in Avenger 2.0

-- After Jack punches on of the guys on the offworld base led by Maybourne in Shades of Grey, he shakes his hand in pain (That was what MacGyver did when ever he punched somebody)

Actually Felger with the duct tape is a Red Green reference.
