I know..........I love that episode.........Those girls looked sexy with their dark hair.

But in the old series they had vampires and explained them as some kind of alien and that some were so big you needed a starship to kill them.

The story is "State Of Decay" a 4th or 5th Doctor story. Haven't seen it in many, many years so can't be sure which Doctor it was.
